Hi,

That is not possible in the application. You can try to manually edit the code of the exported theme. But note that it will be changed to the default one each time you case the theme.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hello Fancis,
use file manager to search in theme folder for the "h2" substring.
Several files will be found with code lines:

<h2 class=" bd-container-15 bd-tagstyles"><?php echo $pageHeading; ?></h2>

replace h2 to h1 there.

regards,
Aileen

Hi,

As mentioned in the previous reply there are will be a few files for different templates, for example \html\com_content\article\default-template.php file. The exact file depends on where exactly you want to change the heading because Post Header control is used on all templates including Blog. This is one of the reasons why Themler uses h2 for this control instead on h1. If we change it h1 the Blog pages will have several h1 tags.
In addition to this you can try Page Title control (insert tab >> More) and Posts blog title which outputs Joomla page heading as H1:

Thank you,

Hello, so technically speaking from a SEO perspective the Post template should be changed to an H1 as all pages should have a H1 tag on them. Now that you have the Page Heading an H1 the Blog and Page templates are how they should be with article titles H2.

Perhaps a update someday to fix this. Every SEO article states each webpage should have an H1 heading on it. The article title in the Post template should be that H1.

I never really pushed this since you can just make it a Joomla menu item and use the Page Heading to do this if you need to fully optimize it. Blog posts are not that big of a deal.

Hi,

Post Header is a separate control used on Post/Page and Blog templates. It is the same for all templates. If we change its heading to H1 the blog template will have several h1 headings which is not good too. The alternative to this is a new control separate for Post and Page template which is not really good for understanding Themler.

Thank you,
Olivia

i honestly think there is something wrong here. Either Themler support does not clearly understand what we mean by H1 or there is simply no way to achieve this in the software.

  1. I am working with Joomla. When I add Page Tile control as suggested, I get the title set in the menu Page Title and not the Title of the specific article I am viewing.

  2. I want the article title to be seen as H1. How do I achieve this without messing with the code. So far, I have tried all the suggestions on Adding Page Title and removing Post Header and it is not working.

Hi,

Unfortunately Posy header control supports h2 tags only because it is used on the blog template also.
In addition to Post header Themler provides Page Title and Blog Title (joomla page heading) controls which use H1.
If it is not enough you can use CMS Code control where you can output anything you want with custom code.

Thank you,
Olivia
