The million $ solution, which Web Designers might love to buy from artisteer!

Could Artisteer create its own simple solution to the 'ever more complex' problem with Wordpress and nearly all other CMS/ blogging software packages?

Could Artisteer create its own CMS for Resellers.

E.G.
1. Output Artisteer to Artisteer CMS.
2. Web designer gives client a login password
3. Client can login to Web designers OWN brand CMS control panel and edit the content and photos of their website.
4. No need for Wordpress anymore.

Possibly 90% of clients just want simple CMS to edit content and photos. They do not want Wordpress or its complexities and constant bombardment of apps and upgrades, etc.

Web designers and all resellers would love this as it lets them portray their own brand and keep small clients happy. Wordpress has its uses but really it's for the minority of bigger clients and overkill for smaller clients.

Is this possible or likely?
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I do not assume that it will be a popular solution as when client wants a simple site, probably they will choose a plain HTML that is light and simple. But on other hand, customer may want to include some extended functionality into the site in the future and that will be impossible wit such simple CMS.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella, I can see your point but you might not realise how big this market is. If you google "Simple CMS" etc there are allegedly over 39 million pages, so websites do talk about this... But honestly i only know of one Simple CMS solution out of all the packages and most people have never heard of it. I think a simple CMS designed by Artisteer could capture a very large market share. Ask your Artisteer and Themler users? You maybe surprised.
Consider this... Google realised how important SIMPLE is with their simple versions of everything in MS Office... Most website clients actually only want simple solutions and mainly that is all they need.
Once an end user has a good looking site designed by an Artisteer Web Designer, then all they ever need is to change the odd photo and the odd bit of text. Wordpress, etc has over complicated this.
Ironically many if not most Wordpress users switch blog posts off immediately they launch their website!
What most of the CMS out there do NOT have is a TRUE white label service where the website design software sits on the desktop. There are solutions but not one as flexible as Artisteer that i know about.
Cheers

Thanks for the detailed explanation. But we do not have plans to develop Artisteer in the future. In any case we are preparing the simple visual editor that will ease the creation of the site with it's own interface that is not as complicated as most CMSs, it's just a visual editor. But I'm not sure when it will be available. So please follow the news.

Sincerely,
Hella

The visual editor might be just what we need for Artisteer as a simple CMS.
Is it for Artisteer or Themler.

The most important thing for Artisteer and Themler is that it is

  1. White Label so that Web designers can use it as their own brand otherwise it does not fill the market gap.
  2. That it is aimed at both the clients of the web designer and the Web designer, so both can edit using different logins.

Thanks

Hi,

It will be like a stand-alone editor and also it will work on the sites that do have Themler theme installed. For now I can not provide any other information. So please follow the news.

Hella

Does this mean you will no longer update artisteer if it requires wordpress or joomla updates to themes?

noboss1,

If you faced any bugs with Artisteer themes please report them to Artisteer support. Artisteer developers will fix them and update export plugins for the appropriate CMS.

Thank you,
Themler Team
