Hi everyone!

We are happy to inform you that the first Beta version of Drupal 8 themes for Themler is ready for testing and feedback!

If you are interested in helping us to make Drupal 8 themes better please download the attached theme and install it on your local/remote Drupal 8 installation and start testing.
Please let us know about any bugs you find or questions that you have.

DOWNLOAD

How to Install and Use Drupal 8 Themes.

Why there is a separate theme for Drupal 8 and is it compatible with Drupal 7? Can we convert existing Drupal 6-7 themes to Drupal 8 themes?

Drupal 8 is a completely re-written version of the Drupal platform built on simphony. The current Drupal 6-7 theme are not compatible with Drupal 8 for 100%. Therefore we created completely new Themler themes for Drupal 8.

Unfortunately, the existing Themler themes for Drupal 6-7 cannot be converted to Drupal 8 themes.

What subscription do I need to test Drupal 8 themes?

The ability to save and export Drupal 8 themes is available for customers who have regular Drupal subscription. Otherwise Themler will work in DEMO mode and you will not be able to save or export themes.
NOTE: if you have expired Drupal subscription you will be able to try the attached theme. But, as usual, you will not be able to update Themler to get the latest version of the Drupal 8 themes.

How to report bugs?

If you faced any problems with beta themes please contact us via our Answers system by creating new private or public topic with drupal8-beta-testing tag. In addition to this please type "Drupal 8" in the topic title.

Please do not submit technical issues in this topic because it is impossible to handle them in such general topics.

Does the new Drupal 8 theme support Views?

Drupal 8 themes work with Views module in the same way as Drupal 6-7 themes.
Please refer to this article for more details.

Please note that Beta products carry increased risk of malfunctioning and are not recommended for use with live websites. However, we welcome your feedback and will update Themler within several days if any major issues are reported to us.

Thank you for helping us to make Themler Better!

Sincerely,
Themler Team

Eric-P,

We prefer to not provide technical support for different customers in one topic. Please create new private topic so we can investigate the reported issue.

philippe.pphantom,

Please make sure that \drupal8\modules\themler\src\Theme\PreviewNegotiator.php file exists in the module folder on the server. We managed to reproduce this issue by removing this file only.

Thank you,
Olivia

"Please make sure that \drupal8\modules\themler\src\Theme\PreviewNegotiator.php file exists in the module folder on the server. We managed to reproduce this issue by removing this file only." Yes this file exist

philippe.pphantom,

"Did you install any additional Drupal modules? "

of course Drupal base alone is a bit thin.

What exactly additional modules you have installed?
Do you have a fresh Drupal installation where you could test this theme?

Thank you,
Olivia

philippe.pphantom,

I don't understand. Previously you mentioned that you installed additional Drupal modules. Now you're saying that this is fresh Drupal installation.
If you installed any additional Drupal modules please try disabling them for testing. The error message refers to missing class PreviewNegotiator. Usually this error happens when PreviewNegotiator.php file is missing (we reproduced the issue by removing this file only). But you confirmed that it exists in the "themler" module folder. There is a possibility that the issue can be caused by additional Drupal module. That's why we asked about additional Drupal modules.
The best solution in this case is create new private topic and provide access to the admin panel and FTP. but you never do this for some reason. The only thing that we can do remotely without seeing the issue and debugging is to assume. Unfortunately it may not be effective. Unfortunately we cannot help you without cooperation from your side.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

When a true version ?

It is difficult to say. It depends on found and fixed issues. We still have a very low number of bug reports. Currently we do not have the feeling that the themes are ready for public update. There are also some technical problems related to release of Themler Desktop with Drupal 8 CMS included. It requires updating of php and mysql which will cause problems with other CMSs.

Thank you,
Olivia

Olivia,

For Drupal 8, do not concentrate on the desktop version. Concentrate on making it out of Beta and with the suggestions in mind.

Hi,

Unfortunately the most of customers will ask for Themler Desktop with Drupal 8.
Currently we do not plan to implement more major features. If we release Drupal 8 themes tomorrow they will be on the same stage as now (updated to v382).

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

Currently it works as standalone theme which can be used on your local or remote CMS and it is quite stable. We also do not plan to make major changes to the current Drupal 8 themes in the near future and keep them as beta because of the Desktop problems only.

If you have any problems with Drupal 8 themes please let us know.

Thank you,
Olivia

Found out it was the unique field module and themler that is not working together. Disable one of them will work.

But now when I enable themler and create a new view of my content type then when I click on the red lined settings it will not do anything. When I disable themler module it is working.
