Can you make something to check code and compare preview folder code with existing PHP templates ?
Just recently I deleted all my manual coding for Advanced Custom Fields, and I have no clue how, because I did not touch Page template.

This on image showed with arrow can you make with red background and white text to mark as manually changed code and not the same as file in preview folder. Or something like this.

Still remains problem of overwriting files when dealing with default controls, etc.. Dont know how this could be solved. But one click on "Save" in Themler can costs us much.

I hoped we will be able to insert CMS Code where we want, but this is not the case. This would solve problems like this.
Dont know how your developers reasoned, HTML/Text blocks can be inserted everywhere.

Found solution, as now CMS Code can be inserted everywhere. You fixed that problem with latest update.

Hello

The recent Themler update includes new CMS Code control and option in theme Settings:

cmscode.png

All PHP code inserted onto this field will be added to the end of the functions.php file after saving.

They should solve the reported issue with removing custom code after saving the theme.

Please try moving all custom code to control/option and let us know if you have any further questions or issues.

Thank you,
Olivia

This is very serious problem. Imagine this scenario:

  • Live site on server.
  • Owner want just to change color of submenu items hover.
  • Clicks something not knowing is dangerous.
  • All manual coding on LIVE SITE is gone.
