Payment Icons in Footer

I don't seem to find an answer to this, so I started a new post.
I'm working in Joomla with Themler.
With WordPress, there are payment icons in the footer that use svg code from w3.org - depending on the theme. Because it's not possible to add code in the footer of Themler for Joomla (trying to drop in anything in a "text" box strips HTML tags) doesn't work.
Is it possible now, or for the future, to allow HTML in the footer, and, to add the payment icons?
Yes, I know I can insert icons and add whatever image. But that's not the same.
Or is there another method to add the payment icons in the footer, or anywhere?

Hi,

Sorry, I do not understand what icons you are talking about. In any case, to add a code into the footer, you can use the HTML control and insert the code inside the HTML Source window.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella,

The icons are for Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, etc. If you look at the bottom right of this site - dsgardenshop.com - you'll see what I mean. It's clean.

I tried the HTML window. It strips the code. I can input div or p tags, but most everything else gets stripped every time I save. The code I'm trying to input is for svg icons.
<div><svg version="1.1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3/org/1999/xlink" viewBox="0 0 64 32"><path d="M10.781 7.688c-0.251-1.283-1.219-1.688-2.344-1.688h-8.3761-0...0.968 4.781 1.189 5.781 1.189 5.781-0.813 0-3.283 0-4.315 0z"></path></svg></div>

Thanks.
Thomas

Hi,

Have you tried to put it into the HTML Source window of the HTML control? Also have you tried this code on any live site? It does not give me any icons when I add it on the site.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,
Yes. One of my clients has this in the footer of his site - dsgardenshop.com
That's where I got the idea.

I'm sure the code in the footer must be used in conjunction with a JS that's linked in the footer. The code by itself just makes a black, angular mark appear.

Whether or not that code works is not really the point. I'm unable to get "any" HTML code to remain in the HTML Source window of the HTML control. I've "never" been able to get any HTML to remain in that window. When I save it's stripped.

That said, I use Firefox as my preferred browser.
When developing with Themler in Firefox, "OFTEN" times, when I attempt to access background or images, the menu disappears immediately after I select background or images. I've complained about this for more than a year and nothing changes.
It works in Chrome - but Chrome is "not" my preferred browser. There are a lot of things I don't like about that browser.

I haven't tried to add HTML to the HTML Source window with Chrome...hadn't thought about trying that until now. You try Firefox and I'll try Chrome. I'm certain that you'll see there are a few issues with Themler when using Firefox. I usually just find a "work-around". Or, I log out, shut down the browser, make sure I'm also logged out of Themler, log back in and it works again...usually. There are times, such as this HTML code, where no matter what I do there is no resolve.

Thanks.
Thomas

Hi,

We recommend to use Chrome as it is based on Webkit and Themler is also built on the Webkit engine. That's why we cannot guarantee that it will be working fine in all other browsers.
Also I have tried it in FF and have inserted some basic HTML code and it works fine and also remains int he box after saving. The issue happens with all the themes you create?
In any case, we recommend to use Chrome as some issues inside FF cannot be fixed due to the difference between platforms as I have explained above.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,

Yes. The issue happens in every development. I usually find a way to open the "...more options..." in order to access what I need.

The images issue has always been a problem in FF. The background is something that only with my last project has become an issue.
Unfortunately, I'll have to use Chrome with Themler.
