Hello,

You may try enabling CMS Content in the Insert tab >> Content&Sidebars. Please note that the text of the 404 Text control is hardcoded. The function responsible for the text of "Text 404" control is in the functions.php file. It begins like this:

function theme_404_content($args = '') {
    $args = wp_parse_args($args, array(
        'error_title' => __('Not Found', 'default'),
        'error_message' => __('Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.', 'default')
    ));

The text can be changed manually.

Sincerely,
Nettie,

I normally just delete the default 404 and add a new container and/or section. Then you can add a Title, Text, Image or whatever you want.
