Save Themes Folder

Hello, just started working with this today after seeing the announcement on Artisteers site. Using the Desktop version.

Is there some settings in the program for various things like what folder your themes get saved?

Exporting as zip would also be nice to choose a location each time. I tend to separate my stuff in folders. Artisteer was very good about remembering my choices and listing past saves/exports.

When I go to the "Open my themes" it takes me to my account on your site but is empty. Even after saving the theme in the desktop version.

I can't find a way to even change the name of the theme, only a save button.

Do renaming in desktop version. It has to be non-active theme. Just switch them around.

Can I change where the themes are saved on my computer? I do not want them in my C drive I have a dedicated drive for my documents that is backed up continuously to the cloud.

I liked Artisteer's complete control where things went.

Hello Dave,
for now there's no option that allows to select where to store the themes. All of them are stored in the folder

C:\Users\All Users\Themler\hd_data\themler

and they're split by CMS subfolders. For example HTML themes are stored in

C:\Users\All Users\Themler\hd_data\themler\html\themes\

Regards,
Aileen

I guess I can back this directory up for now. Please consider allowing us to choose these if possible.

Hi,

Actually in Windows the C:\Users\All Users\Themler...and C:\ProgramData\Themler... are the same folders.
In any case we are looking for the ways to give user a possibility to choose the path during the installation process.

Sincerely,
Hella

My C is a limited SSD, reserved only for boot and I'm going through the same problem and would like to choose the drive where my applications and data are saved, as well as the other software. The lack of this possibility is one of Themler's serious shortcomings. I hope the company prioritizes and solves this problem.
Note: I am an ex-programmer and I do not understand how the development team did not anticipate this problem.
Sorry my english and my rigidity about this "problem".

A big hug

Hi,

We did not provide the option to change the data directories because of possible problems with permissions. Themler Desktop is a webserver with CMS installations. Please note that you can install own webserver in the way you need with public folder located where you need and use Themler themes on this webserver. It will work the same.

Thank you,
Olivia
