Hello, as I start to use the Themler page building to create Joomla articles I just discovered that the search results show the shortcode. I don't suppose this is something we could fix?

Hi,

I asked our developers about this issue and they reported that the issue with shortcodes cannot be solved from our side. The problem is that shortcodes are processed after the search algorithm is executed. We cannot affect it. And in case of search results page the shortcode is not complete and cannot be processed as invalid. This mechanism works with all shortcodes, not with Themler only. In case of joomla the long shortcodes are not popular. That's why this is not common problem. Also in this specific case the attempts to solve this problem will cause a lot of more problems.

Thank you,
Olivia

OK, I was not sure but figured it was not something that would be solved easily. Perhaps there is a search extension that will help.

Thanks

Hello, is there anyway you will move away from this and not use shortcodes in Joomla in the articles? Nicepage does not use this but Nicepage is not as good as Themler. Way less control of what you can do from what I see.

Why does Themler use shortcode in the articles anyway? Nicepage plugin does not.

If you could build articles with Themler without shortcode that would be amazing. Can you ask about this?

Thanks

Hi,

We do not have any plans to rebuilt Themler and remove shortcodes from the content.
As for the Nicepage, please feel free to contact Nicepage support with your suggestions, we'll be glad to see them. And also note that Nicepage is meant to be the simplest editor and that may give a bit less possibilities than in Themler, but we are constantly improving it. Also there are some features that are not possible in Themler, for example, you can position any element in the desired position and it will be positioned fine in all the responsive modes as well.
And as an option you can use Themler theme on your site without content and build pages using Nicepage, the application possibilities allow to build the same content as you do in Themler.

Sincerely,
Hella

Solved: Regular Labs Rereplacer Pro solves this issue with regular expressions assigned to the search page.

In case anyone else wants a fairly inexpensive solution to this issue in Joomla.
