i have a clean Joomla 3.9.6 installation on a server with PHP7.2
I have downloaded the 4x4 theme form Billion Themes : http://templates.themler.io/Themes/Detail/1891946/4x4-Tours?selectedCms=Joomla&statisticsID=145393993&containsInPage=False

Now when i want to edit the theme the button is disabled

I have read and checked all this: https://answers.themler.io/articles/65488/troubleshooting-read-first
I have also done this: https://answers.themler.io/articles/173620/how-to-fix-the-error-after-updating-to-joomla-3-9

It still doesn't work. I realise that the theme maybe old, but it's still available for download so it should work in my opinion
If you teach me how to fix it i might even be able to help you fix all the other old templates in your download site

I have also tried this:

1.Open <theme_name>/app/classes/Config.php file
2.Find the following line:

$editor = JRequest::getVar('editor', '');
and insert the following piece of code before it

JHtml::_ ( 'behavior.modal' ); // for SqueezeBox
After this open a template and update it to the latest version.

but no success

Now i have installed the desktop version of Themler and i have imported the "old" template.
I was able to update the template and save it.
When i tried to export it the software said that the export was being done, but i don't know where the file is being saved.
I didn't get a question where to put my file. (this should be fixed)

I did however copied the files from ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Themler⁩ ▸ ⁨hd_data⁩ ▸ ⁨cms⁩ ▸ ⁨joomla⁩ ▸ ⁨templates⁩ to my online website and i now was able to use, save and the template seems fully functional

Hello Edwin,
I apologize for the delay.
Thank you for the update. It is better to open any downloaded theme in Themler first (using desktop version), then update it to the latest version and then install to Joomla. Some themes on Billionthemes might be old.

I know i can install it in the CMS, but i have a website with a themler template installed in Joomla, but this template is old and i need to update it and i don't have a version with editor anymore.

Is it possible to add an "old" editor to the source in the zip file

Hello,

Sorry but this is not possible. We recommend to consider using some backup (there may have been some created when Themler theme was updated previously).

Sincerely,
Nettie
