Is it the end of Themler?

I have the impression that Themler is going to bankruptcy. It looks like developers are absent from the forum. We wait for the response from the support for months, as if Themler dismissed the people responsible for the support. Once, after asking a question, I had a response within 1-2 days, now it happens that there is no answer at all. I asked a question in private topic 3 months ago and no one has answered to this day.

I pay for the most expensive version and feel a bit cheated due to ignoring my support questions. Because, as I understand it, support also comes with the subscription price

I'm starting to seriously wonder if I should not resign from Themler before it goes bankrupt and do not turn to, for example, Joomla Website Builder Gridbox from Balbooa Extensions.

P.S.
I found something. It looks like Themler is no longer being developed and is being replaced by Nicepage. It promises to be interesting but why, since I paid for Themler in March, should I now buy a new product? And it will be difficult for me to trust a company that deals with its clients. In my opinion, if Themler finishes software development, it should be visible on the site. And I think that since Themler is no longer being developed, customers who have active licenses for Themler should get free Nicepage licenses valid until the end of Themler subscription. But it's still a bit cheat if I knew that Themler would not be further developed - I would not prolong the license.

Hello,

I would like to give my opinion on this. I have been using Themler and nicepage for about 8 months in parallel. And I have to say, I still do not understand the meaning of Nicepage. Who installs a CMS system, then let it go out of hand again. Themler is a great program and should have been developed further. I feel like many now, I'm not ready to continue paying for both products. I do not need the one product (Nicepage) and the other will probably not work anymore with Joomla 4. So the question is for an alternative? Template Toaster is not it ... What do I do with all my Themler pages after joomla 4?

Greetings from Germany

Need to wait when they finish Nicepage. Then maybe developers will be back to Themler. Most likely need to wait one or two years.

A strange policy is used by the company towards its customers - in a year or two, no Themler client will be left with them

They have said once Joomla 4 is in beta they will start looking at it. I believe they may come back. I posted about how many Joomla template framework developers like Joomshaper have both types of products. So perhaps they are just try to do this too. It would be nice if they would explain this to us.

BTW great update from Balbooa Gridbox: https://www.balbooa.com/blog/gridbox/introducing-zero-app-build-your-own-content-apps

Someone here used Balbooa Gridbox? I played with demo and it's looks very close to Themler.

Man I hope I don't need to look for a new system for all my site, YET again. I have looked at a few things, mostly when switched to Themler from Artisteer. I tried a few Joomla template builders but all fell short of Themler in customization.

Why can't they just sell the damn thing to a real company that would develop, market and improve this? I'd still pay for the photo library on the side from these guys. I'd like to be done with this whole "sky is falling" all the time crap.

It is annoying to invest in a system and the big makers do not do anything. The program is neglected. Prestashop1.7 is already a beta forever and does not work. Pity for the good money and time. Themler had already taken over Artisteer but also did not pursue this, all a pity!

Yes, I agree the developers and the owner of Themler have dropped the ball. When you ask a question you have to wait a long time for an answer. The reason I will not buy NicePages is I had Artisteer then Themler came along and Themler looked good and now we have Nicepages why buy another product that will become like Artisteer and now Themler, no support and updates?

Well I won't be making another big software change with the development team. I've already been through the move to get to Themler, and the headaches of Wordpress 5 updating and the software not working with it correctly.

We probably have 60 clients that are still using Themler on their sites, but over the past year or so we've been using Elementor. While not a theme, it was a better route. Themler was nice as we could build custom templates and insert code etc, but we can do that by hand too, and work within Elementor framework.

I certainly won't be swapping to Nicepage, a page builder, when other more developed software exists in the market.

Such a shame. Crazy to read this as a public posting and not as an official announcement. Abandoned software means Abandon Ship!

I too will not switch to another product of theirs if they abandon this. I do not want another system to deal with and don't want to deal with any more bait and switch.

Themler was promised to Artisteer users and the end game for us. Not the end of the game.

Themler we need more support and updates or no one will trust you. Your new project will have a black cloud over it. Marketing attempts will be met with bad reviews and warnings.

Don't make this mistake.

I do not agree they are only looking for money. Themler is an amazing product. The developer is likely not stable and possibly very eccentric or savantish?

They need to pony up and follow the promises made or deal with the fallout. Their products will fail if they abandon us and leave us with no usable product. I for one will start a website, optimize it to be number one on Google and just have testimonials and reviews on this company if I get screwed again. I will loose so much money not having a working template for my clients and will have to spend another 12 months redoing all these sites. No way will this go unchecked. Not a chance.

If they don't want to help us, they should find a real company and developer who can continue this and sell it to them.

I don't know what to think about this.
since they launched "nicepage", which I thought was from developpers of artisteer, everything is going slow here.
I had some topics, on which I gave up after waiting several months for any respons.

Like the news/update page, nothing is up-to-date, and they don't seem to even care about it

Like you said, what if they fail?
I have a dozen websites, all with themler-templates.
What software to use, and what about the lost hours to re-do al the work?

This is exactly what I am talking about. They cannot even update the update page with the version that is out.

They claim they will continue, but is it a lie?

I need to find something else if it's true. Not sure what that will be. Likely Helix or something I am not aware of.

Themler, sell the product to a reputable company and move on. You will have a huge issue if you stick it to us again. This is not a threat but the stark reality of conducting business like this in this day and age. People are using this product to run their businesses and make a living. Playing games with us is not going to fly this time. Artisteer was understandable. You went with the wrong framework. I got it and switched to Themler, which I love for the most part. Nicepage is no good, don't want it and will not switch.

Nicepage have:

  • Advertising (banners in Google Ads network)
  • Documentation and Video tutorials
  • Getting Started Interactive Tutorial
  • Tips and tricks about Best Practices
  • Easy to use UI with help tips
  • Priority support

Themler don't have such list of user friendly steps.
So it's not so easy for some people to start with Themler.
Many of users don't know about Themler as here no advertising.

But all of this can be implemented in new Themler 2.0.
I believe that Themler can be powerful and easy to use.

Themler need new users, good documentation and support.

Idea for Themler 2.0: make one option in Themler with Easy mode / Expert switcher.

Here is example: http://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar

So Themler 2.0 with Simple / Expert mode switcher will be very good idea and product.
Just look how great it can be: https://youtu.be/orld-gwFG5A?t=10s

And this will be universal product for all, who want simple generator as Nicepage (Easy mode) and powerful tool like Themler (Expert mode).

I hope that they read this topic.
They still working on Nicepage so can't promise something right now.
But when Nicepage will be done or maybe it fall... then they will know that here is a lot of developers who waiting for Themler team here.

Awesome experience with Themler 1.0 and Nicepage can give brand new powerful, fast and easy to use software.

Web design language that is used in Nicepage is just a one year trend... so there is a big chance that they will return to Themler. As Themler is universal tool.

Let's hope.

If they are developing NicePage with a proprietary format it will fall fate to the same thing that happened to Artisteer. Do you know what they are using?

I got sucked into Nicepage too but it just appears to create a newer style of onepage website. Good if you are an architect or want something to look VERY cutting edge but useless to us. Developers please please keep with Themler. It is great software, it just needs to be made to keep working with newest PHP, https etc. It hardly needs any new features. I would renew themler but nicepage is totally different and incompatible. I was a sucker who had artisteer too :-(. Maybe you should sell Themler to a new company to keep it working. Please?
