How can I make the footer stick to the bottom of the page?

Hi Themler Team. I want to please know how can I make that the footer will be glued to the lower part of the page even on pages that are shorter than the full page. in artisteer there's a footer option called "Page width, Screen Height", this option puts the footer at the bottom even if the page's content is very short, so something similiar to this.

Please let me know how I can do this ,
Thanks for your time,
Shaul.

Hello

Unfortunately this feature is not supported at this time and I don't see any easy way on how to implement it.
But I've added this feature to our wish list.

Thank you,
Olivia

Olivia, this seems very important. I think it's a matter of just come good CSS.

Maybe it could be achieved with transparent png 1x1px and repeat. Then use it to fill whole screen with cover, fill CSS options.

This is iplemented long time ago.
Seems as Chrome has a bug or whatever. Firefox put footer allways to the bottom but Chrome shows 5-10px gap in color that page background, or sidebar holding content has.

As Chrome calculate min-width and width of visible screen wrong. No matter what I tried gap is there. Only min-height in px for content fix it, but it is as bypassing "Expand to bottom" extension. And forever race with new monitors and new screen resolutions of course.

New Edge browser calculate it right.

It works now in Chrome too. But needs 2 Expand to bottom exstensions. One under "Posts" option and second under "CMS Content" option in Sidebars tab.

It is not unfortunately. My mistake.

Have to find some consistent way of sticking footer to the bottom on all templates. Or it would not be good at all to keep working like this. Mostly setting things by heart.

What is this on body/html making Chrome show gap.

Firefox and Edge need Expand to bottom on 2 places.
Chrome shows gap, spacing at the bottom.
I activated bookmarks tab in Chrome and this fixed problem. It is really some bug in Chrome regarding calculating viewport height on fly.

If I could just find some temporary solution for now.

Man what a stupid and crazy thing. Lost half of day on it, unbelievable.

I had FB Page plugin script in Settings-Additional Head HTML. And it goes before opening body tag, not after as FB advise. This was making spacing on bottom in Chrome.

I deleted it from Settings and put it inside HTML control inserted at the bottom of template. I need it only on Homepage anyway.

Half day....half day...I am so angry.

If it was not for one working theme on cloud, and studiyng it, I would lose 3 days on it.

Expand to bottom looks very broken to me.
I used this on the "footer" for my joomla template, and it works on some pages and not others.
Very frustrating.
