Hi Aileen,
The "product buy" brings the "add to cart" button,
In my previous screenshots, the products show properly with other template,
however with my template created with themler is not.

This is the code Im adding to the homepage
[recent_products per_page="12" columns="3"]

Please advice,

Martin

Hi,

Themler does not control the appearance of the products outputted using woocommerce shortcodes. So in general, in Themler you can remove bullers and configure the typography of the content area only.
I suggest that you consider using Woocommerce Recent products widget. You can configure it in the same way but it will use Themler Product Slider control which can be edited in Themler.

  1. add WP Widget area (Insert Tab >> More)
  2. add Recent Products widget inside the new area:

recent-products.png

Note: If you want to output Recent Products on the Home page only please add Widget Area outside shared areas (with orange border). Somewhere between Header and content area (with bold grey frame).

The issue with missing Add To Cart button will be fixed in the next major Themler update.

Please keep us posted about the progress.

Thank you,
Olivia

I have recently posted a bug report closely related to this
https://answers.themler.com/questions/71283/woocommerce-featured_products-per_page-not-formatted
It's a Woocommerce shortcode to display products, this time featured products.

It is reasonable to expect a theme to be able to accept these shortcodes within the body text of any Woocommerce page. Short codes work with other themes and more importantly with Artisteer + Tuxedo generated themes.

Adding widget areas for this is very restrictive, not a practical solution at all, also I can't find a "product slider control" anywhere in Themler v256.

I see Themler as a very welcome upgrade from the Artisteer+Tuxedo combination, especially as Tuxedo has a chequered history of support.

The comment above "Themler does not control the appearance of the products outputted using woocommerce shortcodes" is a VERY serious shortcoming, and doesn't help the many designers coming from Artisteer.

Themler needs to take this on board, and at least apply the product grid to shortcodes that output products as a list, respecting the settings of the shortcode ie columns, number to display, sort order etc. Please will you guys look at this with some urgency, its is really preventing serious users from generating solid, usable and reliable themes for our customers to use.

Output shortcode as PHP function, do_shortcode or just echo function name. Why is this so big problem.

@ stagger lee: I do not want to be adding bespoke code to the backend, it just adds to maintenance and a spaghetti theme. We should not need to do this.
Just tested out the Widget solution, it does work, so at least I have a solution for now.

My main point above is that There is a lot written in this forum by long standing users of Artisteer moving to Themler, finding that a number of things we relied on are either not obvious in Themler or not there at all. Woocommerce was not supported natively in Artisteer, we relied on a third party plugin for that, and with it additional risks of lack of support of that plugin. The Artisteer / Themler team have taken notice - which is excellent, but have missed out some crucial bits of it, shortcodes a good example.

@len, can you give some screenshots how does it look ?

I just tested your shortcode in Themler template, and in Product content (editor). And in Page template under content area. And columns are respected. Bullets are easy to remove in control Style - More styles - Bullet list - Images (stop icon, second from top).

Where do you ad shortcodes and how do you ad them ?

Images are not clickable indeed, and there is no Ad to cart button. I never used those shortcodes, have to play a bit more with them.

@stagger lee. The shortcodes are the ones published by Woocommerce.
https://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/
These are added to any page or widget area, they worked as expected with Artisteer+Tuxedo, not with Themler.

Hello Len,
have you tried to add them using Themler Shortcode control?
I've tested this way in WooCommerce default theme and it works.

regards,
Aileen

The Woocommerce shortcodes are part of the core Woocommerce, as defined in their documentation (link as above). They are added by the end user in the Wordpress page editor, to place data on a page, post or within a text type widget as and when required. This allows for a lot of flexibility, and not restricted by any structure defined by the theme.

So I am not sure that using the Themler Shortcode control will resolve this, as its fixing the position thus removing the flexibility for the end user to put data where they want.

Please can you get your developers to look at the Woocommerce shortcodes and how they are used, to make sure data output using them is formatted appropriately. Many of the shortcodes will use the Product Grid.

The grid for product category and subcategories does not work, there are the settings in Themler for this, but no way to put such a grid on a page. Can this be looked at please by your developers.

Thanks
