Hello Themler team.

Do you plan to develop Content Construction Kit for CMS like a SP Page Builder, JSN PageBuilder and Visual Composer - great examples how the content editing should look like and must be.

It's long way to create solution like above, but it will be very powerfull. Think, that primary target must be Template Editing and Content Editing must be developed separately in way like in examples above.

I talk about extension for Joomla and WP inside CMS (not inside Themler like a Content Editor). It may be a button inside article editing page and this button call extension to insert Sections etc. like in this videos: https://youtu.be/dqRzj05CySA and https://youtu.be/aiTIrxGT4Dk

That sounds awesome. I stopped using Themler (after Artisteer ground to a halt), but if there was a good White Label and Unbranded CMS i could be tempted back to either Artisteer or Themler.
Thanks

Hi,

Sorry, for now I cannot provide any information regarding the editor for Themler. But we are now working on the new software that will have a simple and powerful visual content editor.
If you need your clients to edit the content, please do not create or edit the content inside Themler so the clients will be able to edit them in the CMS editor.

Sincerely,
Hella

That is a great idea, I wish they can implement it...
I really wish they would go back to work on new features....there are some features that the team can build in no time....

What’s more confusing is that Themler is already about three years old, and it is still revolutionary for me and me work style, and I assume for lots more..

Themler team, please give us some eta perhaps on when some new features will be implemented.?

Really do not know why they could not make 2 versions of Themler. Easy
one for all people with lack of time, or lack of nerves, and one
version for advanced Users.

User is starting with easy one, when time is right he/she feels more
advanced and convert theme to advanced Themler version. If not, up to
User, not big deal.

There is one idea: make one option in Themler with Simple / Expert switcher.

This idea from one of user... and we discus about it somewhere... and we get answer from Themler that this is good idea but not possible implement it in current Themler version. For this need to create Themler 2.0.

Here is example: http://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar

So Themler 2.0 with Simple / Expert mode switcher will be very good idea and product.
Just look how great it can be: https://youtu.be/orld-gwFG5A?t=10s

Or to shorten it to the one sentence:

  • I do not have use of uPage magic, superb, mega, turbo layouts if I cannot show dynamic content there, data from a database, data of my choice.

Even Themler is bad at it, despite for developers would be relatively easy task to expand it and make better. All CMS they know by heart.
Some workaround by naming templates correctly we can make it work nice.

Image(s) that are especially told to the search engines not to index, and they respect it, are collected by uPage.

I cannot describe how stupid is this uPage thing.
It is static HTML visual builder. Doing theme for any CMS, Shop, etc, would take more time with uPage than to do it manually.

Even Themler would be very primitive and limited if they did not add CMS Control. It is precisely this Control that makes it unique and so good.

And this more than stupid thing to type URL, or search Google Images, and uPage pull all images, build something with its "Artificial Intelligence".
Maybe in Russia. In EU it is right way to the court of law, for using images of other people/companies without rights, licence for it.

Thin line... this software may be simple with limited functionality or powerful that give us another Themler. Now this software not simple and not powerful.

Hope that you will back to Themler that already powerful and if you will create CCK plugin that allows to edit Themler Sections using visual editor - Themler will be more simple for most new users.

Why you develop circle from scratch (called uPage) instead of visual editor development for Themlers sections? Many of users here don't understand why did you choose this way.

Unfortunately I don't think they will answer this question, which has already been asked several times without any response from the Themler team.

The latest one:
http://answers.themler.io/questions/149489/plug-in-editor-visual-para-el-cliente-editar-sus-contenidos-directamente-en-el-gestor-de-joomla

I do not think they are still working on a visual editor.
I think they planned to do it and then the project turned into Upage (https://upage.io)
:-(

Hi,

The new extension we are working on will enable some possibilities for
editing the content in a visual editor. But for now I can not say how
it will work exactly with the Themler sections. Please follow the
news.

Sincerely, Hella

Hello.

Is here any news about this plugin? Do you plan to release it or development of this plugin is closed?

FraggleWorks,

If we're talking about changing some text it can be done by editing shortcode. Just press CTRL+F or something like this to search for specific text on the page. And then edit it inside shortcode.
Yes, it's not very convenient, but there are no other options at this time.

http://answers.themler.com/articles/55953/how-to-edit-pages-and-posts-content

But we plan to visualize this process in the future.

Thank you,
Olivia

I'm using this method currently. Purely asking for customer benefit, not my own.

I am definitely interested in something like this considering I develop and design for clients who currently are physically unable to edit their own content unless they subscribe to Themler which is not ideal.

I preferably would like this for WordPress and Joomla.

Perhaps for Joomla it could be an alternative content editor that we can switch to which I'm sure is what you're intending to create.

Also connection or ability to edit current Sections would be awesome, as currently when there is a new update I can not edit sections unless I have the new update. Which again would not be ideal for customers who do not wish to subscribe to Themler just to change some text.

Hi Kani ... May be you are right ...
Hi HElla ... may be you are developing some extension , plugin ...

But until Themler will have so many plugins to be able to replace functionality of all useful widgets and shortcuts then we will wait some years ...

I still think, there should be possibility to use both of them Themler design and Widgets, Shortcut ....
It will add very great usability od wordpress and Joomla ...

Great possibility for designers and webmasters ...

Please think about it ... a little bit ...

I tried some shortcuts manualy inserted to the Section of Themler as HTML insert ... and it worx ..
It should worh within Themler GUI too ...

End usewr should be able to edit some parts and thinks within CMS without to have Themler installed ... with use of widgets and shortcuts it is the best way ...

It is for me an excellent idea ....

Well, those page-builder are nothing compared to Themler, the only thing they are better on, is the license differences.

Developers who has a developer license of SP page builder can include the license in their templates, so their user easily can edit contentand customize the template.

Themler is powerfull, and they will fix the editing/customizing problem soon.
