Hello
I'm working on templates in joomla for 2 different clients and I have the same problem for both when I try to edit template:
LAMPP local: Can't edit theme anymore: Insufficient permissions :-(

enter image description here

I'm working local on my pc on Linux Mint and LAMPP
I already tried to (re-)grant the files and give the right permissions again in /opt/lampp recursively but it doesn't work

Any help ?
Thanks

Pierre

I switched to another laptop (brandnew Asus zenbook pro, windows 10) . After changing permissions , it worked for opening themler window. But then it failed (insufficient permissions again) when trying to save changes...
So I looked into each template folder in xampp and deleted several folders (named for example "a5ze8df12"...!!??!) and then it works again
But I have to work with that shitty windows 10 and spend hours and hours to remove spywares...

Hi,

Here is article about folder and files permissions that Themler needs to work properly:
http://answers.themler.com/articles/3714/how-to-install-joomla-template#j_permissions

Themler creates temp folders when you're working with it. They looks like these:
template_name/editor/app/a5ze8df12...
template_name/app/a5ze8df12...
Usually Themler removes them. If they were not removed you can remove them manually. usually this happens when there are no appropriate permissions or antivirus blocks creating and removing of temp files.

Thank you,
Olivia
