Summary

The Search Widget Control displays a widget with a search box.
Unlike the Search Control, it can not be added via Themler. It can be added only via the CMS admin panel as a widget/module/block. It is a CMS specific control used in Wordpress, Joomla, Magento, PrestaShop, and Drupal.

To add the Search Widget Control, navigate to a CMS back-end and add it like a normal widget/module/block - switch back to Themler to customize its styles.

The styles of the Search Widget Control can be edited separately from the Search Control.

Usage

Unlike the simple Search Control, which defines a search field through the <input> tag, Search Widget Control inherits general widget styles and has a widget type.

WordPress

In WordPress, the Search Widget can be added from the Appearance >> Widgets. Just drag the Search widget in the desired Widget Area.

Joomla

In Joomla, go to Module Manager and add the Search module in any of the available positions.

Magento

You can learn how to add Magento modules from the following link.

PrestaShop

In PrestaShop, go to Modules >> Positions and choose Transplant a module option. Then select the Quick search block in the Module drop-down, and the hook you want it to appear, under the Hook into select bar.

Drupal

Navigate to the Structure >> Blocks and select the desired region for the Search form block.
