Summary

The Cart Link control is a link to the Shopping Cart page. It also lists basic information about products added to Shopping Cart.

Usage

The Cart Link control can be added via the Insert >> Online Store >> Cart Link menu.
Only one Cart Link control can be added to a template.
Cart Link outputs the total price of all products added to shopping cart. With the help of a nested Cart control, it lists the detailed information like product image, quantity & price, total, and shopping cart buttons.
No special modules or widgets are needed in CMS admin back-end.

Joomla

However in Joomla when the Cart Link control is added, the VirtueMart Shopping Cart module is added to a special "cart" position. The Cart Link cannot be placed in another position.
