as you know the one of new feature of the latest update is Custom Templates (http://answers.billiondigital.com/articles/9792/themler-weekly-update-9-april-2015). That's why after update in WP admin back end only two options are available under Page Attributes when you're creating a new page
By default only two page templates are available for selection. It's normal behavior now. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Also the "Default Template" is in fact "Page Template" template which you see in Themler.
If I misunderstood your issue related to Page template please describe it in more details.
The issue with Navigation Menu is not clear for me. Please provide more details about it. And please provide access to WP admin back end so we could test your theme.
