Just curious, i keep asking this across the net and have found nobody anywhere ever that has ever made anything of any use with Themler.
Is this actually supposed to replace Artisteer ?

Seriously though, i have never ever had to force quit an application so many times in OSX, this thing is total junk, I wouldn't normally even bother following it up and just throw it away, but this thing is pretty damn expensive hahahaha, is this just a huge scam ?

I know it had a bad reputation, but WTF, how can this ever replace Artisteer ?
Hi man, I actually built hundreds of sites with themler already, and it's the best tool I use nowadays....sure, it has some bugs, but the developers are great and they fix them if you send them tickets about them....
I am on Windows , so I don't know what's going on Mac....but I am sure that if you write to the support team they will help you fix it....

I have 6 sites and 4 have problems not fixed by devs and some are months old. I feel they are not fixing issues but instead adding things that aren't useful. Form fields? Changes to the UI every single version. Please just fix the program and then add something to make it more extensive.
I do like it and see much potential but it just takes me so long to do anything because I am always try to fix something. It works on some sites with a different version. So I would say it's beta, not ever a full release. Very frustrated but hopeful.

I have created about 50 sites, I always have issues but still even with the time it takes to resolve them it is quicker than other methods.
I just hope they get on the right track with future deleopment, I think some aspects are going in the wrong direction.

First off, let me say even with the complexity and learning curve I find this to be a very usable product. I know it's much different than Artisteer and much less user friendly but I think it's supposed to be. The ability to change so many settings is rather amazing to be honest. It would be nice if there was a normal and advanced mode but that's a whole 'nother idea.
I have been looking for other Joomla template builders for some time. Actually before Themler came out because I was always worried Artisteer would just vanish leaving me in a lurch. Template T**ster is not any alternative, at least last time I checked. So I looked at some Joomla specific frameworks and found some that were easy to use but lacked the customization options that Themler has. They all need you to know a lot about coding and CSS to really do anything with them.
To be honest Themler is probably the most amazing product there is that I found. Nothing else does what this does. I have to say the developers are pretty much geniuses. This has the potential to be something really special.
My main problem with it is there are lots of issues with new versions and existing sites. You are crossing your fingers and looking for a 4 leaf clover each time you press that upgrade button. The UI changes too much and there are many issues after an update. I don't know how that can be solved but it's rather frustrating. I also wish they could speed up the interface when working in Joomla. Not sure how it works in WordPress or other CMS platforms. Lastly, they need to adhere to the CMS structure that the CMS developers designed their system to be. So things like Page Titles in Joomla and the like.
My conclusion is I would rather support them and hope for the best. I hope they focus on stabelizing the program vs trying to introduce so many new things. A example is form fields, no idea why they put that in there if they weren't going to provide a processing engine for it to actually work. What CMS needs a form in the template that doesn't work. The time spent on this seems like it could of been spent on fixing real issues. Now I would love a form for the static HTML sites but it doesn't work and there is no easy way to make it work. So if you are a developer you could get it working but then you could also just add it yourself. The point is it's just too much when other things do not work and bugs exist that need fixing.
Keep up the good work.

So where exactly do i send reports to ?
1 Insert a search form, absolutely nothing can be themed on it
2 Selecting things is next to impossibly if anything is overlapping, this includes things within a container
There is more, but when stuff is this bad, it is too much to try and even create something in this package.

I have a feeling that your issues are most likely related to OSX. The web version seems to be more reliable from what I can tell. You are certainly not the only one having problems when using the installer version. Regardless of the OS in use.

Nah, i just installed on windows, and no surprise, the search still cant be modified, this software is just total junk and should be removed from the market until the hire real coders and testers, it is beyond a joke and i am absolutely disgusted, if i had bought this from a real supplier i would demand my money back, as is i suspect that that is never going to happen hahahaha, they are obviously fly by nights that are just trying to gouge what they can.

I'm giving up on this rubbish, i shall be bumping this thread regularly though, until they fix this thing !
I'm giving up on this rubbish, i shall be bumping this thread regularly though, until they fix this thing !I'm using the windows version (just to create and save a blank template) and Joomla CMS. I've made around 8 sites so far and honestly, I'm totally smitten with Themler. I absolutely love it and can't image using anything else. And I've tried using other generic template programs.
To viscience1, in reference the GIF you posted highlighting your problem changing the search feature, I've had similar problems with changing elements but always managed to clear it up. That kind of issue always seemed to be cache related on my end, I would either reload the template page (i.e. switch to post then back to home) or I would hit the reload icon that reloads CMS content. If those didn't work I saved the project, logged out and reloaded the CMS admin and Themler editor. If I still had the issue, which I did a few times, I found it would clear up when I cleared my browser cache. I even switched browsers before to get around what appeared to be a bug.
I empathize with your Themler issues, and I think the general feelings of frustration come from having to spend so much time learning your way around Themler and figuring out solutions with what seems to be a blind fold over your eyes. At least that the way it was for me, I had to spend hours and hours and hours of failing to make what I wanted before finally making some progress. There are so many options in Themler that the documentation doesn't really help you learn how to use if effectively, it's all about trail and error. Stick with it and good luck!
