Drupal 8 is actual in beta and I want to use a DesignTool to build a theme. Artisteer or Themler doesn´t support D8 and there is no official info about supporting D8 in near future. This would be a killer feature.

This means you will start developing at this date or is there a release at this date? And why not some days before?

Hello

The problem is that Drupal 8 developers may change something important just before release. We'll start developing of the Drupal 8 export before official release but the final version will be available a bit later.

Thank you,
Olivia

I agree that this will be important. Note that D8 is already starting to go into production and the development is very stable. There will be a big push for D7 to D8 conversion starting this winter and all next year. You should consider staying ahead of the curve (You might want to consider bundling D7 in your package and having a D8 paid module). Another advantage to releasing D8 is that you are providing an upgrade path for current D7 work. Any new D7 implementations today are very careful to have an upgrade path to D8 (not just a promise :))
