Hi,

To add a position use the Insert >> Joomla Module Position control. You can add it in any place in your template, then check the position name in the position options on the top ribbon. The module in your admin panel should be placed in that position to be displayed.

Default Template is disabled - what does it mean?

Where do you see this message? Please provide more details.

Sincerely,
Hella

Regarding the “Default Template is disabled” message, it typically means that the default template assigned to your Joomla installation has been deactivated or removed. You may need to select a different template or enable the default template again through the Joomla administration panel. You can reference uno online to know more details.
