for example a glow or fade when I hover a menu button?

Please try the following steps:
Add Hover fill color or shadow if needed:
go to the Item Shape Options and add transition:
Now switch to Default State and add transition with the same settings under Default State Shape options:

the animation like on the provided page requires using css pseudo-elements (:before or :after). Currently there is no such option in Themler. You can do it manually only.
But we plan to implement such feature in the future.
