In Themler I can choose number of columns for different devices in the layout options. As far as I can see there is a problem if I want 1 column for tablets and phones and use Joomla settings for laptops and desktops. It would be better if it was possible to set number of columns in Themler for the desired device and down in stead of for the desired device and up as it is in current version.

Doesn't Bootstrap as default use 1 column on tablets and phones even if there are two columns on laptop and desktop?
If I leave the settings empty in Themler and use the joomla settings there are still two columns on tablets and phones.

Hi,

You cannot use combination of joomla and Themler settings. You can use either Themler or joomla settings. The joomla settings used when no columns specified in Themler (when fields for all resp modes are empty).
If you need to columns in Desktop and Laptop and one column in Tablet and Phone you should use the following settings in Themler:

Thank you,
Olivia

I would like to use Joomla settings and left the fields under posts/ layout empty for all modes. Then I have two columns on phone and tablet with two columns blog setting in joomla. Usually two columns blogs are changing to one column on phones and tablets in Joomla, like it also does when I am testing my site with Protostar template. I have not inserted any extra columns in Themler, so I don't see the columns menu in your image. If I should, could you please explain how I can get to it.

Hello,
you may specify necessary number of columns in different screen sizes in Themler theme.
For example if column width is set to
-100% it means 1 column layout
-50% it means 2 columns layout
-33% it means 3 columns layout
etc.

regards,
Aileen
