Hi everyone!

We are happy to inform you that the first Beta version of Drupal 8 themes for Themler is ready for testing and feedback!

If you are interested in helping us to make Drupal 8 themes better please download the attached theme and install it on your local/remote Drupal 8 installation and start testing.
Please let us know about any bugs you find or questions that you have.

How to Install and Use Drupal 8 Themes.

Why there is a separate theme for Drupal 8 and is it compatible with Drupal 7? Can we convert existing Drupal 6-7 themes to Drupal 8 themes?

Drupal 8 is a completely re-written version of the Drupal platform built on simphony. The current Drupal 6-7 theme are not compatible with Drupal 8 for 100%. Therefore we created completely new Themler themes for Drupal 8.

Unfortunately, the existing Themler themes for Drupal 6-7 cannot be converted to Drupal 8 themes.

What subscription do I need to test Drupal 8 themes?

The ability to save and export Drupal 8 themes is available for customers who have regular Drupal subscription. Otherwise Themler will work in DEMO mode and you will not be able to save or export themes.
NOTE: if you have expired Drupal subscription you will be able to try the attached theme. But, as usual, you will not be able to update Themler to get the latest version of the Drupal 8 themes.

How to report bugs?

If you faced any problems with beta themes please contact us via our Answers system by creating new private or public topic with drupal8-beta-testing tag. In addition to this please type "Drupal 8" in the topic title.

Please do not submit technical issues in this topic because it is impossible to handle them in such general topics.

Does the new Drupal 8 theme support Views?

Drupal 8 themes work with Views module in the same way as Drupal 6-7 themes.
Please refer to this article for more details.

Please note that Beta products carry increased risk of malfunctioning and are not recommended for use with live websites. However, we welcome your feedback and will update Themler within several days if any major issues are reported to us.

Hello,
I just start design one of my site using drupal 8. I'm not expert at Drupal. I'm able to design my home/front page using themler, have any option to design another page with themler like...my page service, portfolio, about us & contact us? While i'm trying to make a custom page template then page created but when i'm trying to adding any content using themler then it will redirect to blog template, is it normal or it's bug? Also horizontal menu does not appear while i edit my site using themler, but it show if i visit my site normally. Also menu need to arrange by untitled_preview theme, if i rearrange menu by untitle theme then it's not working, can you tell me is it bug or normal? This is my site url https://www.biswasit.net

Hi,

Themler for Drupal does not support editing of Drupal content like it is in Joomla or WP themes.
Themler creates the design for front page, articles, basic pages, etc only:

Home template for front page,
Page template for Basic Page,
Post Template for Article,
Blog template for /node view,
Default template for all other pages and content types.

The Blocks should be managed for both themes: basic theme and _preview:

You cannot open a Drupal 8 theme(downloaded from above) from within the Desktop version it fails the load !!!!!

Is it possible to test this theme without thembler?

Simply download theme and install it on your Drupal 8 and test it without starting Themler.

You cannot open a Drupal 8 theme(downloaded from above) from within the Desktop version it fails the load !!!!!

The Desktop version does not include Drupal 8 installation. Drupal 8 themes are not compatible with Drupal 7 used in Themler Desktop. Please try theme on your local/remote Drupal 8 installation.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.
I've attached default theme updated to the latest beta.
The issue was related to PHP 7.1 version (to changes in a few latest minor PHP updates). Therefore, if you need to update existing theme but you cannot start Themler you can do it either on different Drupal installation with lover PHP version or downgrade PHP 7 to PHP 7.0.x

i could not create a new theme; i could not use drupal 8 no more itself .
Only solution remove themler ..

When does the issue happen (on Themler start, appears on the website front end/admin panel)?
Could you please download the default Drupal 8 theme available in this topic. Then uninstall existing Themler module under the Drupal Extend, clear cache and install module available in the default theme archive.
Does the issue continue?

Please note that if you updated theme to the beta version you need the module from beta theme (available in one of my replied above).

It's that i have done .. same outcome ..

Themler start; once arrived this issue is all the time and everywhere

"Did you install any additional Drupal modules? " of course Drupal base alone is a bit thin.

Hello, I have just installed the latest beta version you suggested, I just installed with XAMPP in php version 7.0.15, so I installed the 3 files I just have an error when I want to change the Theme (The website encountered an unexpected error.)

Please make sure that \drupal8\modules\themler\src\Theme\PreviewNegotiator.php file exists in the module folder on the server. We managed to reproduce this issue by removing this file only.
