template: home verses Page:home

Hi Im confused
whats the difference between the two?
when starting to make a making a web site for wordpress, do i add in template : home? or do i make a Page home?
Please let me know

I think themler used "home template" as WordPress front page by default. So, you do not need to design "page home" .Thanks.

can you direct me to some literature please, i build in more than wordpress and im still not understanding why i have template home and page home, except as you just said wordpress defaults to home template and apparently i have no need to build "page home"
