Hi Anneke, if i am not mistaken, the new themler version has a different way to show posts and blog pages..

What you need to do is go to your home template, and than go to "sidebars", its an orange button on the left panel, and press it.
Now you will see a button to "Show on template" , and if you enable it, and than refresh themler, you should see the cms content, or blog posts..

Believe it is inside Theme options in WP backend
You make new custom template for "Home". And chose this in Theme Options (not WP settings).

I want to insert a blog (homepage template). Isn't this feature available anymore?

The Shaul's suggestion is very close.

1. You should specify WP Home page as Latest Posts under the WP Settings >> Reading.
2. Then enable CMS Content sidebar in Themler:

How would I do this in the new Themler layout there isn't a CMS Content option as displayed in number 3 in the image you show.
I know this must be easy but I deleted my post content on the post template and for the life can't figure out how to ad it again.
