Dear Support Team,

Hope all of you are well. For a longtime we can not see any new update notice, even don't see any beta update. We can see many member daily arise many issue that need to be fixed or need to bring new feature. What's your planning about new update?

Thank you

All we are through thick and thin together.
I've created a new thread: To err or not to err – this is a question!

I encourage to discussion!
Let's made a tangible move!

Ok, So it appears Themler is now dead.

So what is everyone using now? Looking for something to build Joomla/WordPress sites.

I know WP has BeaverBuilder, does Joomla have anything?

Something is happening with Themler's team and they do not want to talk about it. The last template was published in April 20, 2016. And the last update of Themler was 6 months ago (when they always were publishing a new version every 2 weeks).

It is clear that something strange is happening here and they do not want to communicate it, they do not even speak clearly or take our complaints seriously. Very bad.

This company is going to the wall.

I purchased an upgrade to the combined Themler and Artisteer products 15 months ago. I had installed Themler to play with it but had not created any templates. Unfortunately, I suffered a disk crash and lost lots of data and had to rebuild my PC.

I have downloaded the last version that my license fee entitled me to (the year support ended in November) but cannot save any templates as the website says my support has expired and they want me to pay again to use the software I have already bought.

Their latest response stated:

We offer Themler Business subscription for free to Artisteer customers with active Artisteer Standard license. Themler does not use licenses. It works on subscription basis. In order to use Themler the subscription should be either purchased or opened (equivalent of purchasing with 100% discount). This is not automatic process. It's not enough to download Themler or create account. The subscription should be opened manually.

This is not what they say on their webiste at http://www.artisteer.com/?p=themler_faq :

Is Themler a service or a subscription-based product?
Just like Artisteer, Themler is a one time software purchase that includes one year of free upgrades. Please note that this is not a subscription, but we simply don't want to nickel-and-dime you with every upgrade. We remember paying for products and then finding that a new upgrade is available couple months later at an extra cost. In case of Artisteer and Themler we offer free upgrades for a year as a way to assure you that you will not be charged for another upgrade a month after your purchase. In fact, you can use our products for years without purchasing upgrades.

The FAQ states quite clearly that it is a "one time software purchase " and "that this is not a subscription"

Shoddy shoddy work!

So, I do not think they make anything new.
Who of us will join the theater again?
An extension of the existing account will not be for me.
I am already working diligently, for the time after Themler.

Greeting

  • First I want to say I dont expect updates as before, so often, so huge,

  • Second, considering how Artisteer ended you scare customers.
Communicate with them and dont be quiet. Adobe can afford itself missing update for even 1 year. You cannot, when everyone knows how Artisteer ended.

Very well put, it is precisely the silence that has me concerned. They were they same last year when Google wrongly (I think?) blocked the site as being infected and dangerous. It shows an astounding lack of common sense when their customer base are only tied to a 1 year subscription and could migrate at any time.

Just an announcement to say that they plan on actively developing and supporting Themler for the couple of years and that they have not already got another project underway would be very reassuring.

I work for myself and not having the back up system of a steady wage (health problems mean I am stuck in the house for much of my time) and need to be able to plan as much as possible and I am sure that there are many others in similar situations. If Themler is going the way of Artisteer (and Templateer before) then I need to know so I can spend more of my time on learning alternatives. Sure I can still use Artisteer (with WP Tuxedo I can still export themes) but the software is now painfully behind the times and that is what will eventually happen here if development is abandoned. People, especially clients always want the newest shiny fashions in websites.

Unfortunately we are all disappointed, Themler had started very well, only the lack of communication kills the product.

I can not tell my clients such bug or such functionality will happen but we do not know when.

I do not create themes for fun, I have accounts to render to my clients.

I think the biggest problem here is that this company has a track record with just stopping development with their Artisteer product without warning. Sure there were telltale signs there if you had the time to view the forum and pay attention but a lot of people just buy the software and expect it to work and have a regular upgrade path.

After floundering for a while I love just how flexible and powerful Themler is even with it's faults and what is really worrying me after only just resubscribing is the requirement for themler to ping their servers to even open let alone save a project. Now they have stated that the servers will remain online even if Themler stops development but for how long and what incentive does a company have to keep servers online for a product they are no longer taking money for? This is a major worry for me as there literally is nothing else that can do what Themler now can without having to spend a huge amount of time learning how to code a theme from scratch.

Communication is essential for any online business, at the very basic level it just show respect for your customer base, This is not cheap software, the top level package is a serious layout for freelancers like myself for something that only does one small part of my workflow and I am really am having to question my business model at the moment and am having a closer look at various ready made theme subscription websites to offer those to clients instead.

Best regards,
Angela

Dear Linkebel,

You are right. I renew my subscription at last december & just waste my money may be. I spend last year to learn themler & now I have enough skill to use thmler but developer stop to support the product. I already have templatetoaster license but now again need to spend few month to learn this software then I can work with it. But, I think I need to learn hmtl, css, javascript, jquery & php perfectly is better option if I want to continue my career as "Web Designer" . Because this type of software does not have any guarantee when they turn on & when turn off!

Thank you
Benjamin
