Unable to create themes on Themler in the cloud and not able to run Themler on Windows

Hi I am having difficulty running Themler under different circumstances:
1) On the web after logging into your website and going to my dashboard, when I go to Themes and Create a new Theme, I am taken to your download page

2) After having installed Themler on Windows and running the program I get an error log as in the file attached

3) After installing a Joomla template on a Joomla site, I am unable to edit the template with the fault message that I don't have permissions. Going onto the server and changing permissions to all files recursively under directories "templates / plugins / tmp" I still get the same error message.

Hello,

  1. Working on cloud is not possible now. To use Themler, there are several options:

    1. Install Themler. At http://themler.com/download choose a corresponding option - Themler for Windows or Themler for Mac. Just sign in, select CMS and create a theme. You can export a theme at any time as .zip and install in your CMS and continue working at it.
    2. Download default theme .zip. At http://themler.com/download choose CMS and click "Themler for [CMS name]" and install it in your CMS. Then select "Themler" in CMS admin and work at the theme.
  2. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Backup all theme folders somewhere on your computer. The path is shown in the Theme Management screen after selecting some CMS, for example, C:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_xxxxxxxxx\wordpress.
    2. Uninstall Themler completely and also check the box for "Remove all CMS content".
    3. Check if the following folders are still present:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Themler
    C:\ProgramData\Themler

    1. If they exist, remove them.
    2. Reboot the machine after uninstalling Themler, so that all Themler services are removed for sure.
    3. Disable temporarily antivirus and firewall.
    4. Download latest version of Themler for Windows from themler.com, install it and try to start with Themler for Wordpress and create a theme.
      Please let us know the result.
  3. Please try these steps:

    1. Temporary disable all third-party CMS plugins.
    2. Clear cache:

    3. Clear AppCache. Use Chrome browser for this:

      Let us know if the issue is still present.

I will try what you suggested and will get back to you.

In the mean time I installed an upgraded version of Artisteer version: 4.3.0.60928
and now I am told that I have the trial version and I cannot save Artisteer projects
My Themler subscription is still valid and my Artisteer license number is [the license number is hidden]

Am I not eligible for the upgraded Artisteer version?
Please advise.

Hello Chrismuller49,

For Artisteer license issue you need to submit a ticket in Artisteer support system. They will fix your issue asap. I think old license is not working with latest Artisteer version: 4.3.0.60928, the license need to add any extra permission then it will work.

Hi Nettie,
I was able to install Themler on Windows and to export a zip file called prestigemc.zip that I could import on my remote website.

Then when I wanted to import the content of the template I received a Request failed 403 error message.

Also when I try to Edit the template inside of Joomla I get a message: You don't have permission to access /templates/prestigemc/app/index.php on this server
Even after changing the permissions of all the files under "plugins / templates / tmp " on the remote server
Also even after clearing Cache and Appcache
Tried both in Firefox and Chrome
Even after disabling third party extensions
Please advise

  1. As for your Artisteer license. We have extended it to August 19, 2017, please try to activate the newest version with it now. We have read and hidden the code in the previous post, because the topic is public.
  2. Relating the exported theme from your latest post. Please try to temporary disable all browser add-ons for the Chrome browser on your computer, and then to run Themler and re-export the theme with the "Include Content" box checked and without. If the issue persists, then either create a new private ticket and attach the exported theme packages or let us know so that we make this ticket private.
