After clicking on the Themler-Icon Firefox started with an empty page?
I just want to know how to start this Program.
Does it only work through a browser like Firefox or can I have a Desktop-Version as well, as I was used from Artisteer.

Thank you

Peter

Hello Peter,
the button's screen tip could be specified under button's settings

ButtonTip.png

But it does not allow to change tip's font size or something else.

The solution which opens larger window requires third part plugin or custom code. Unfortunately we do not have a solution available at this time. If you find ready solution on web, we'll help you to incorporate it into Themler theme

Regards,
Aileen

Hi Olivia,

a button is a button and a screenshot would not show anything. When the mouse is inside the button a tooltip-text
is shown. I can edit the text in the HTML-Code, but I don´t find a way to choose a bigger fond size.

Instead of the tooltip-text I want a larger text-window when the button is clicked on. How can this be done?
In Artisteer one can define a link to another page. Better would be not to change the page but just to open a window.

Regards

Peter

Hi,

Could you please provide us with the screenshot that demonstrates what button you're referring to?
Open theme in Themler >> click on the buttons and make the screenshot.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

now I have loaded and installed Themler again and it looks better.

Compared with Artisteer, Themler seems to offer more features but the handling is more difficult as with Atisteer.
My Artisteer-Website also was imported to Themler - nice. But now I try to expand my work and questions come up.
Q.: My Homepage has Buttons and a tooltip-text. Where and how can this text be edited?
Q.: Instead of the tooltip-text I want a larger text-window when the button is clicked on. How can this be done?

Thank´s

Peter

Hello Peter,

On another computer install the latest version of Theler for Windows from http://themler.com/download, run it and log in in the top right corner with your name and email. If you can save/export themes, then everything is correct. Win7 32-bit should be OK.

Sincerely,
Nettie,

Hi Nettie,

now I would like to make a new approach installing Themler on another computer.
This PC has Win7 32bit-Version installed. Is that ok?

Is there any product key needed like with Artistteer on the other PC?

Thank you

Peter

Hello Peter,

We are sorry for delay in response.
As for the original issue. This issue used to have happened rarely in the past and as a rule was related to some individual programs installed on the computer, that might have influenced Themler not running in its usual workspace or other individual circumstances which can not be influenced. Still running it in a browser like suggested above will not make Themler less functional so this is the same Themler desktop with the same functions.
Relating Themler - even if installed as desktop application it requires Internet connection for work. But as compared to Themler installed on a live host, it can be faster, since it uses this connection not so often (because Themler is installed and there is a local CMS installation stored on your computer).

Sincerely,
Nettie,
BillionDigital Team

Hi Nettie,

for my understanding this question again:

Does Themler work the same way as Artisteer 4.3 does, that means, is it a fast desktop application that can be used offline?

Or does Themler a browser based program like Wordpress?

Thank You

Peter

Hi Nettie,

still the same. This is the file I downloaded: Themler.1.0.319.fe25b.exe

Is this correct?

Can you use TeamViewer to check my computer directly?

Hi Peter,

In fact, there is no difference is a browser is default browser or not. I would recommend to backup/export the themes and try complete reinstalling Themler as mentioned above with antivirus and firewall disabled. Do not remove anything and change anything relating Themler or browsers after this, Then reboot and try running Themler with any CMS. This should help.

Sincerely,
Nettie,

Hello Peter,

Yes, Themler can run both with Chrome and Firefox. But this is applicable in case you run it in a browser. If you do not like having Chrome on your computer, let Themler run with Firefox - but yes, it will open Themler in a browser window, but Themler will have the same functions.
Also, when you export the theme and would like to install it on your host to further working with real CMS content - also in this case you may run in Chrome or Firefox.
When you install Themler, all necessary components are installed by default. If you remove something this will make Themler run through the installed browser - Firefox. As a rule, you won't have to install Chrome additionally if you haven't remove it on purpose after Themler installation.
Let us know fi any additional questions appear.

Sincerely,
Nettie,

Hi Nettie,

again, do you mean Firefox can not take the place of Chrome, in your documentation is said Themler also works with FF.
Just tell me if I have to install Chrome aside of Firefox.
In case I have to install Chrome, do I have to uinstall Themler again and then do a new installation?

Thank you
Peter

Hello Peter,

If you uninstalled Chrome, that can be the reason of Themler running in a browser because it uses Chrome for running in its normal workspace.
For the log file please follow this instruction:

Hi Peter,

This is weird. Looks like not all Themler components were installed for some reason, or something is blocking running it in a standard way.
Is Chrome browser installed on your computer? It should have been also installed while installation but looks like didn't. Could you please provide a new log file?

Sincerely,
Nettie,

Hi Nettie,

after reboot it´s the same, the browser shows the page attached.
When I click on HTML then the Themler-Workspace opens, but why not directly?
