Parallax fixed width image

Hi Team

If you look here
http://leorahost.co.uk/buildsites/bvs/arterial-work/carotid-stroke-surgery/
you will see 2 images using parallax. (scroll down quite a way get to the second one)

Above each parallax is the full size image so you can see what it looks like.

The parallax images are not showing enough of the image horizontally.

I would like to have the actual image size in width, fixed with in the parallax box.
Then the parallax scroll shows the bottom and top of image.

If you look at the bottom one, with the girl sitting on the river railing/fence. You can only see her shoulder and waist.
You cant see any of the river and cityscape, as the parallax is stretching the image too much.

So can we contain the size of the image, horizontally the size of the box?
How can I control the size of the image when set tpo parallax?

Thanks

Hello Leora,
the images used as parallax background images are resized a bit.
You may try to adapt the scrolling a bit, but the image won't be scroll from top to bottom anyway when height almost two times larger than container's height.
It scrolls about 1/2 of image height. So in your particular case I'd recommend that you create special image which will be used as background image for the container with parallax background

regards,
Aileen

Hello Aileen,

We are having a similar issue. How best to fix this, are there steps? The picture is the exact size of another image that was used in the same spot. The photo is of a couple walking in a field, but when using Parallax, every attempt to resize the photo ends up with a zoom of the woman's head. One option made the photo too small, but the entire photo was visible. Thank you in advance if you can assist.

Hi,

This happens because the image with parallax effect enabled has css background-attachment: "fixed". In this case the image is resized depending on the screen size:
https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_background-attachment.asp

This is behavior by default.

Thank you,
Olivia
