Hi Petra,

I'm not sure I understand what do you mean by:

insert a page on my Wordpress home page

Please clarify your request a little bit.

As for your second issue, you need to HMenu control for all template you're using within your project (Home, Page, Blog, Post, Default, etc.).

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Ivan

Hi

On the HMenu, what do I need to do on the control to have the menu to show on each page? I have included a screenshot of the menu and the control panel.
I don't know where to change what so that the menu shows on each page of my website.

As for my "insert a page on my Wordpress Home Page"
I have also included a screenshot showing the website and the area that I would like the home page to show up.
Currently I have inserted text to say what I want to say, but I actual want a page to come up there... if I set it as the home page.

Hope you understand what I mean.

Hi Petra,

  1. You need to place Hmenu inside your Header container. It's used to share the controls between templates. You can check our default WordPress theme and try to use the same layout.

  2. In your WP admin go to your Pages >> Home >> Page Attributes and assign this page to the Home Page template. Currently it's assigned to Default template. Please see my screenshot:

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Ivan

Hi petra, you talked here about two things, if you want to add a page in themler you have a few options....
the fastest way is to add through the sidebars.

  1. go to the sidebars area in themler.
  2. next to the "show on template" option you have a switch, just turn it on.
  3. you are supposed to see the regular page from wordpress. just move the element to where you want it to be in the homepage....
  4. just remember that it will now take the content from the wordpress backend....
  5. I hope this is what you ment :)

Petra,

Shaul is right. You should enable CMS content sidebar:

enable-content.png

But you will need to do one more thing.
After you enabled CMS Content Sidebar you will see a Posts control (with comments block) below the Row control. To show the page content please navigate to the Posts control >> click "Customize template style" button and then choose one of the Posts presets:

Then move the Sidebars to the desired place on the page.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi Olivia and Shaul

Thank you, now that I understand how that works, it's easy.
Something silly that's I'm stuck on. (I know how to do this in Arteseer)

I want to disable the Post date, tags, post category....
Where do I do that?

I'm stuck on this also, I'm not sure as to what I need to do here?

Hi,

Simply remove the controls that you don't want to use:

I'm stuck on this also, I'm not sure as to what I need to do here?
It seem so simple to just what my menu to show all all my pages and post...

1-2. You should enable Header control. This is shared area which helps to share controls inside it between different templates (Home, Post, etc).

3 and 4. Remove existing "Length: Sheet Width" extension and add new "Length: Page Width" to change the width of the header.

5.Move Horizontal menu inside the Header. Please note the color of the drag&drop area (orange).

6.remove the old Row (copy of Header).

7.As I can see Header is enabled on all templates except Home. So you don't need to do the steps above on all templates. Please check all other templates. You should see the menu on all of them now.

Please keep us posted about the progress.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hello,

i'm stuck in page, blog, design. I need to have 3-4 different page templates, and 2 differents (views) design blog templates. I need to play with left pictures and right text etc.. Do you have a step by step tutorial you could send me that talks about this (using themler tools to build different page template? Different template page design? I have a hard time understading how it works to build a page and different pages that looks like this for example (see screen shut attached).

I have no problem with the header, menu, footer etc.. but i don't know how the page templates works, I know i can design several pages with different design for each one but i need help to fully understand.

One problem i have is that i did 5 pages on one theme but if i change one thing on, lets say page one, the changes are also appearing on all of the other pages?

Thanks for your help, this is a great tool and i will be working a lot with it but i think you need to give more step by step information because what i have right now is not complete enough.

Thanks to get back to me as soon as you can.

Hi Martin, How are you?
In case you need to know how to edit different page templates, its quite easy now...
All you need to do is go to the template editing menu , its the one that you can see it says "Home" and if you press it you will see an option to go to your "page" template and all the others...

Now , in the bottom part you will see two options:
1. "add Template"
2. "duplicate Temaplate".

just choose which ones is the best for your situation, and press it.
Than Themler will make for you a new template with the name you choosed.
So now every change you will do in this template, it will be different from other templates.
just edit it and in the wordpress backend, choose this template to the page you want to be different..
In case you get into some trouble in this process, you will maybe have to check if you have any elements that are shared on other templates, and than delete them, or anything you think is best..

I hope it helps :)
