Joomla Sub Menu always showing

Hi

I am having an issue with my Joomla site.

We have a horizontal menu in the header - up until now we have not wanted sub items.

Now we do we have added them in Joomla and turned on "show sub menu items" in the menu module.

This however seems to result in the menu being permanently expanded we only want it to expand on hover as a simple drop down - I can't seem to find any controls in Themler backend to allow control of the sub menu items.

Screenshots attached - for now we have just set the level depth of menu to 1 to avoid all the ugliness.

Making this a public question in case the community can answer faster than support.

Hi,

Please consider using the Horizontal Menu control instead of the Top Menu control inside Themler.

Hi,

Under the Insert >> Navigation choose the Horizontal Menu control and drag it into the Header, position as you wish. In the control options there will be the position name, it is hmenu by the default, you can change the name. Then in Joomla admin panel put the Menu Module in that position.
