blog layout has changed page layout

After lots of wasted time i have managed to add content to each page (green section) just how i want it. then i change the blog layout to 3 column!! this has now changed all the full width page layouts to 3 column??????????????

Everytime i try to use this software it gets worse. i simply want to have different content (within the green box) on each page. i have tried creating new templates which dont work ( how the hell does one changed a pages template???

i really need this explaining because i must be as thick as a submarine door?

Hi,

Please open the template where you want to change the Posts control layout. When you open the Posts control options on the top ribbon, there will be the Customize template styles button. Press it and then this template will be edited separately from the others. Before you press that button, Posts control is the same on all the templates and once you change it on one template it is changed on the others also.
