Hover Box link not opening in iphone 4

I am using hover boxes on my site with links to other pages. This works fine in all cases except iphone 4. In iphone 4 the hover effect works but when you tap it doesn't open the link. In iphone 5 it works fine.

Do you know if this is a know bug in iphone 4 or if there is a work around?

The site is Joomla 3.7.0 Themler v.370

Hi,

I assume that that is the issue of the old Safari version as it works fine on the modern iOS versions.
