I noticed when you install a theme made by Themler and create an updated theme and download and upload to Wordpress as a theme and activate the new one you had previously, it wipes out all the widgets and puts it back to default. The old widgets are in the inactive section. Just can be annoying if you make a lot of modifcations to your theme. I know Artisteer and other products didn't do that.

Maybe I am doing something wrong? They are the same widget areas, etc.

Hi Brian,

As I understand you tried to add some changes to the existing theme and update it as you did with Artisteer, right?
With Themler you don't need to re-export theme every time if you want to make some changes.
Simply click Billion Themler under the WP dashboard:

This will load Themler. Make some changes and click Theme >> Apply theme to CMS to update theme on WP. Now you can view the changes on the website front end.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

Ah ok, yeah I was editing the theme back in themler each time. When your in via wordpress working on the theme can you go to each page to edit it via themlers controls? I see that it seems to only to go the homepage each time.

Hi,

Unfortunately you can't edit each page separately but Themler support several page templates:

  • Home - this page template applies to front page (Latest posts, static page)
  • Page - applies to WP Pages
  • Post - applies to WP Posts
  • Blog - applies to WP Posts page
  • Default - applies to all other page types

etc

With these page templates you can style appearance of the different WP content types (posts, pages, etc).
So, you can't change the appearance of the specific page(post) but you can change the appearance of all pages(posts) separately.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

Yup thanks, I just saw that you could edit the homepage and put in controls, etc from themler to build it up, was just wondering if there was a way to do the other pages. Would be a nice option I suppose in the future.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your suggestion to be able to edit styles of each created page separately - I've added it to our wish list.

Best regards,
BillionDigital Team
