Manually editting source code

Is it possible to add source code to the template files somehow? When i use CMS code to add some source, the template breaks down.
If i manually edit the home_*.php file, and after that edit the template with themler, my manually added source is gone.

Hi,

The files edited manually are always overridden when the theme is saved again. What eaxct error do you have when inserting the code using the CMS Code control?
