Hi,

I was working on Themler Desktop version and exported some HTML templates as zip without Themler in them... then, we had a major computer crash and lost a few things. When we reinstalled Themler on the new PC, naturally all my templates that I had on the other PC are gone.

So, my question is: Is there a way to take an exported zipped template (without Themler), extract it and re-add Themler into it, re-zip it and open it back in Themler? Please tel me that it is possible to do so!!!

If it's possible, how can I do it? What files/folders must I put back in the archive? An what files must I modify if needed?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Regards,

Denis.

Hi,

No, that is not possible. You cannot make the theme exported without editor to work with the Themler editor again.

Sincerely,
Hella

Seriously?! What is so different between a template with & without Themler?!

And also, if you need to be logged in to be able to save and export a project, they're not saved on your server for backup? What's the use of your servers then?! Sigh!

Sorry for the tone... it's just that the HTML project that we lost in the computer crash and that was exported without Themler was a project for an online app and it has close to 80 pages. We have to continue to work on it but by what you're saying, I have to start all over from scratch. :(

You definitely need to work on a way to open templates exported without Themler or the possibility to reintegrate it into it.

Please work with me here... there has to be a way!

Hello,

The themes created with Themler desktop should be stored at the path like C:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_xxxxxxxxx\html, try Live Preview to see the exact path.
If the theme you are looking for is there, just copy it, zip-compress it and install or import in Themler.

Sincerely,
Nettie,

Hi Nettie,

Like I said in my first post, we had a computer crash and had to buy a new one... so we lost this themler_xxxxxxxxx\html folder.

Hello,

Sorry for this, I was not sure if this folder was lost as well. The fact is that all themes created with Themler desktop are stored locally in the mentioned folder. Connection to servers is needed for Themler work, but not for some cloud storage of themes.
Unfortunately, if a theme was exported without the "Include Themler" option checked, it cannot be imported back in Themler or recovered in some way to be opened in Themler. The theme can be installed on a server though and used as a ready website.
We are really sorry for this.

Nettie,

Well, it's sad but hey... lesson learned, next time I will export a copy with Themler in it for backup and a version without for production.

Thanks anyway.
