Hello,

I have been making a template in Themler and exported this as a zip-file with content checked and Themler unchecked.
After that I have Imported the theme into Wordpress and via the Themler plugin imported the content from the theme.
So far so good.
However, when I open a page in Wordpress, both in the visual and in the text editor, I only see HTML coding.
I was expecting to see something else in the visual editor, because this is non usable for an end user without any knowledge of html.
I have been reading lots of topics, but cannot find the answer to this specific question. I am using the updated version as of today Juni 10th 2017.

Thanks to anyone who can help me to figure this out.

Did you install the essential plugin (Themler-Core) in your wordpress?
There is a message should pop up in your backend telling you to install it, Press (Begin installing plugin).

Could you share the link of your website, is it on live server? so the support team could figure out the issue.

Thanks for the quick response Douzan.
Yes, the Themler-core plugin was installed and active.
Attached a view of the visual editor in Wordpress.

But maybe this is what all the other issues regarding no proper editor for the end-users is about?

Oh sorry my bad, I got your question in wrong direction.
Yes, this is what the back-end users will see in their editor, If the website's user/owner want to edit a content was made by themler within (CMS Content), They must have a themler license, And the theme must be exported with the box "Include Themler" checked and the personal license will be enough for them to edit the theme and save changes.

Hi,

Yes, the content created or edited inside Themler editor will be present as the shortcodes and to edit them you will need to edit shortcodes or use Themler editor for visual editing.
To edit the content in visual editor within the site back end, you should not create that content inside Themler, as once edited inside Themler, content is converted into the shortcodes.

Sincerely,
Hella

Thanks for the replies.

I was hoping this would be THE perfect solution for builing websites for my clients with their own special made template.
And where they can edit their own content in the regular Wordpress editor.
But this is kind of a huge deal breaker!

Great for use of my own website, because it is easy and it has lots of premade and great examples.
But useless for the purpose for which I have bought it for.
Such a shame...

But maybe I can do something with the page templates or use Artisteer? I have not investigated or read about that yet.
Or make the pages in Themler and then with some copy/paste actions get them into the clients 'live website'.
Or rebuild the whole thing in Wordpress with a different template from anohter supplier.
Anyway, I hope this issue will be fixed soon, because otherwise I have bought a cat in the bag. (Dutch saying ;-) )

Hi,

The structure of the content created by Themler is complicated a bit and the WP visual editor cannot render it for editing so we are forced to display the content as the shortcodes. I suggest you to create all the content inside WP and then it will be editable in the visual editor.
Please follow the news for the future releases.

Sincerely,
Hella

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with Themler and WordPress where the content doesn't render properly in the visual editor. This can be frustrating, especially when you're expecting a user-friendly interface for editing. From what you described, it seems like the content might not be processed correctly after importing it, leading to the raw HTML being displayed. One possible solution could be to check the compatibility of the imported theme with your current WordPress version and Themler. Sometimes, theme files or content don’t always integrate smoothly, causing display issues.

It kind of reminds me of how many people in the UAE don’t fully understand how to calculate their UAE gratuity calculator. They often struggle with knowing how to access and compute their end-of-service benefits, much like how you’re struggling to get a proper visual display. Just as there’s a process to calculating gratuity that can affect the final payout, making sure your theme and content are properly configured in WordPress can lead to a smoother experience for you and your users.

Nice question. It touches two things:

Why Themler shows “Page” twice

How to avoid design conflicts between the core theme and your Themler layout

It’s actually normal for WordPress to have a default Page template and then for Themler (or any visual builder) to add its own Page layout on top. What you’re seeing is:

WordPress core page template (from the original theme)

Themler‑generated page layout sitting “inside” that template

So when you edit in Themler, it feels like “Page under Page”, but technically they’re two different layers.

How you can handle it cleanly
Keep the main Page template very minimal (header, footer, and a content area).

Do all detailed styling inside Themler’s Page layout only, so you’re not fighting both designs.

If you want full control, set a blank or full‑width template in the theme and let Themler handle the structure.

That way you avoid conflicts, duplicated margins, or styles that don’t match.

If you’re also dealing with financial or HR pages and need to show clear numbers (for example end‑of‑service or gratuity payouts in the UAE), a tool like my dubai settlement calculator on can be embedded in a single clean Page layout and styled once in Themler instead of twice. This keeps both the design and the calculations easy to maintain.

Thanks for this detailed discussion! 😊 It makes sense that Themler content shows HTML or shortcodes in the visual editor because Themler converts content into shortcodes that WordPress can’t render visually by default. If you want to avoid this, create your main page content in the WordPress editor instead of inside Themler. For useful guides on mobile apps and how different platforms handle content, you can also check out https://shadowfightapks.com/

What you’re seeing is actually expected behavior when a Themler-exported theme is opened directly inside the standard WordPress editor. Themler builds pages using its own layout system, so once the content is imported, WordPress treats it as raw HTML rather than something editable with the default visual editor. That’s why both the Visual and Text tabs show code instead of a user-friendly layout.

To properly edit those pages, you usually need to open and modify them through Themler itself, then re-export and update the theme, rather than editing inside WordPress. Alternatively, if you want end users to edit content easily in WordPress, you’d need to rebuild key pages using the WordPress editor or a compatible page builder instead of relying entirely on Themler layouts.

It’s a bit like calculating end-of-service benefits in the UAE: you can do it manually with formulas, but for most people it’s far more practical to use a gratuity calculator that’s designed for that purpose. The right tool makes the process usable for non-technical users, whether it’s website editing or financial calculations.

It sounds like you're having a visual editor issue in Themler where imported content shows as raw HTML instead of rendering properly. This is usually a compatibility or processing problem.

I'd recommend two steps: first, check that your Themler theme is fully compatible with your WordPress version. Second, try switching the editor between "Visual" and "Text" modes—this can sometimes force the content to re-process and display correctly.

Getting systems to work properly often comes down to precise configuration, just like how accurately calculating overtime pay in the UAE depends on specific inputs and rules. For that, a dedicated tool like this UAE overtime calculator can ensure everything is correct. Hope this helps fix your editor.
