Cannot load page

and I keep trying to upload - when it gets to 100% (takes about 3 minutes) it resets and starts again

Unfortunately this part of the issue is not quite clear to us.
Could you please provide a few screenshots that demonstrate the issue?
Do you mean that you cannot import theme, or download Desktop application, or start desktop application, or what?

Sorry -

I have downloaded the desktop application and it used to run fine. Now, when I open the app from the desktop I get an error message saying '127.0.0.1:12080 - sorry an error occurred, your project will be restored.'
Then, an upload 1 - 100% begins, and when it gets to 100%, it starts again at 1%.

Maybe I was doing it all wrong - I can create a site is uploading the 'blank themler_joomla theme', to a Joomla site and accessing the template from there.

Do you try to open a new theme or import some theme zip? Also - what CMS do you select?

Could you please try to rename the following folder into joomla-old and try to run Themler once again:

C:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_2494161632\joomla

This should help.
