Online:
The issue with Widgets Area and Widgets is fixed and the fix is available in today's update

Desktop:
the desktop version is faster than online one because it does not require so much connections to Internet.
However it does require browser. The Chrome is preferable.

Hi guys,

I tried both Themler online and desktop. Here are my experiences.

Online:
I use latest version of Themler with Windows 7 home premium 32 bit, Google chrome 43.0.2357.65 m, no ad blocker, Eset smart security 5. The program loads extremely slow, also slow at saving and publishing. I created WordPress themes so far. Layout was OK. After updating Themler to latest release problems started. When I add a new widget area to somewhere Themler loads the content of other widgets to the newly created widget area after refreshing content. It is very annoying and makes impossible to check the layout of the site. Additionally it changed time to time. After a while other widgets loaded to the new widget area. Cache is not enabled on my web hosting side, browser cache was emptied (several times), tried with Firefox 38 as well and the same problem occurred. Extreme slowness and these problems make online version unusable for me. The previous versions were slow as well but displayed website fine in Themler.

I was desperate as I should have created a WordPress theme for my client. So I decided to try Themler desktop.

Desktop:
When desktop version was announced I downloaded it (the very first version) and installed. Installation went fine with no error. The program loads slow. After it is up it works fine. Saving, refreshing content is relatively fast. No crashes or error messages. I downloaded WP theme without Themler and installed on live site. It was fine. Result: http://test10.andras-kovacs.com/

I read about Themler desktop that requires no browser. Is it even faster?

Suggestion: Please create a separate Download page (placed in top menu) for desktop version where different versions are collected and explained their features. Very inconvenient to hunt different versions in forum posts.

I read about Themler desktop can be used on a laptop and desktop PC parallel. How can I move already created themes/templates between two computers? Doesn't Themler have a file format like Artisteer artx that can be loaded on other computers?

Currently Themler Desktop uses less traffic but still requires internet connection. We're trying to make it more offline in the future.

In how many pcs can I install the program?

You're allowed to install Themler Desktop on one desktop and one laptop.

You say themler dosnt export content like I do in artisteer, what export? only the theme??, and If I want to make the subpages?? must I do it manually?.

Currently Themler creates only theme (for CMS). If you need dynamic content you should add it via CMS admin panel. You can add static HTML controls in Themler but they will be a part of the theme and you will not be able to edit their content via CMS admin panel.

We're working on the Content editor. It's coming soon.

Hi everyone,

We've recently updated Themler desktop version.
Some major bugs are resolved there:

1. Fixed not found issue.
2. Now Themler should work fine when run under Standard user.
3. Fixed vbs script run error.
4. Fixed joomla\administrator/index.php was not found on this server issue.

Knowing issues:

• APPCRASH issue when running Themler installation .exe files

• Desktop installer some times crashes on start up.

We're working on these issues. They will be fixed ASAP.

Themler does not have content export option now, but it is in our plan, so please follow the updates.
About the language, you mean the application UI language or the language pack for you site? We expect the option for translating the Themler UI in the nearest time where every user can participate. The language packs for the site should be downloaded from the appropriate CMS resource and installed on the site as supposed by the CMS options.
