Hello,
I added an image of whatsapp on the header of my page, and now when i share the page on facebook, the image that appears is the whatsapp one instead of the page logo.

How do i change that? i think it has something to do with the metadata of the header but i dont know what to do.

Hi Danko,

This issue is not related with Themler. To solve it you just have to add in your code header the Open Graph metatags. If you don't use this OG tags, then Facebook (and the others socials media) are going to take a random image from your site, in your case, the whatsapp image.

More details here > https://davidwalsh.name/facebook-meta-tags
Sample > https://davidwalsh.name/demo/facebook-metas.php

Or, if you use any CMS like Joomla or Wordpress, you just to search in Google any plugin/widget to add that from the backend.

Regards

Great thank you!
But can i directly write these metadata codes on themler? in the "aditional head html" setting..? instead of searching for third party plugin/widget

Hi,

Yes, you can add meta tags under the Home >> Settings >> Additional HEAD HTML. The code will be added directly into the <head> tag.

Sincerely,
Hella

Awesome, thanks.
So, is this the correct format to write metatags on the "Additional HEAD HTML" setting?--> "<meta property content>"

Hi,

Yes, you can take tags right from this link and insert them under the Home >> Settings >> Additional HEAD HTML with your own images links:

Hi,

If using CMS, there is no possibility to add different meta tags for each page.
Maybe you indeed will need some plug-in for your CMS.

Hella

Use these steps:

  1. Click right-click inside the "update status" box at the top of the Facebook wall.
  2. Select "Paste" from the context menu.
  3. Your link is entered into the status box and the Facebook system automatically scans for a thumbnail image.
