For some reason this validator does not accept | character in the link to google fonts. But this character is also used by google when they provide links to their fonts on fonts.google.com. You can ignore this error because it does not affect anything.

Please make sure that the second error message is complete because it does not provide any useful information.
Themler theme specifies character set in the regular format:

<meta charset="UTF-8" />

Exactly what validator you're using?
This one does not return this error:
https://validator.w3.org/

Most probably this error appears because of the position of the charset declaration.
But the position of the charset declaration in Themler themes is within the permissible range:

The element containing the character encoding declaration must be serialized completely within the first 1024 bytes of the document.

In any case this error does not affect anything. The charset is declared in the acceptable format and applied to the page. You can ignore it.
