Hi.

Today I am trying to create a new Joomla template. I click the ADD CONTENT button at the beginning of creating the new template and I am taken to the Page Not Found page. Every time I click the Home tab, the page goes back to page not found.

Please can you help? I have attached a screen shot.

Regards Dave

Hello Dave,

Could you please try creating another new theme - and not press Add Content if the message appears. Is the result the same?

Sincerely,
Nettie,

Hi.

I hav tried creating several new themes and pressing different options. The result is the same. I have no idea what the problem is, as I have created several templates and never had this issue?

Hello,

Please make sure to backup all the created themes from the folder on your computer , the path is shown in the Theme Management screen after selecting some CMS. Or click Go >> Go to Folder >> type ~/Library and ENTER >> Themler >> hd_data >> cms >> choose CMS and access the themes folder. Please try completely uninstalling Themler and also remove Themler folder from the Mac library. Then download and install Themler for Mac anew. Run Themler for Joomla and let us know if the issue is still present.

Sincerely,
Nettie,

This happens to me in the Desktop version. I always start in the desktop version when creating a theme for Joomla.

I logged in to the Joomla WAMP or whatever it's called with the button on the top right of the program and made sure the correct menu and default page was set. For some reason the page was not set right in the local Joomla install causing the 404 page. It must have a real page to show the homepage in the theme.

Took me a minute to figure out it was not the program but the localized Joomla install the program was looking at for the page.

Login and make sure your homepage is set correctly. You need a default page assigned but the menu module must be set to that menu. That was my problem. I had the menu module set to a menu that did not contain the default page. So I always got kicked back to the 404 page in Themler Desktop.
