Hi,

Sorry, could you please explain the issue in more details as it is not clear now. I can see that you have Themler subscription and the Drupal add-on, so you should be able to export Drupal templates. Maybe a screen shot of the issue will be helpful.

Sincerely,
Hella

I was reading here that the workflow to produce unique new pages in themler is to duplicate pages, then build your design off of the duplicate. When I load the drupal template, and wish to duplicate a page the feature for it is not there. Attached screen

So what is the workflow to create new pages with the drupal template? It is very clear how to edit the home page, but the others I'm unclear on how to build a new page that accompanies a home page. Say for example I want to build an "organization" page that lists all organizations associated with the site. Logos and test. I do what?

Hi,

Themler created themes only. It does not create or edit Drupal content.
Themler simply displays real Drupal content.

Theme includes a number of templates (Home, Blog, Post, etc.)
For example:
Home template - controls the appearance of the website front page.
Post template - controls the appearance of the Drupal Article content type items.
Page template - controls the appearance of the Drupal Basic page content type items.
It means that all Articles created in Drupal will use Post template.

If you need to create content page you should create it through the Drupal admin panel. This page will automatically use one of the theme's templates by its type.
Unfortunately you can't create, for example, different Post templates for different Drupal articles. This functionality is available for Joomla and WordPress theme only.
But we plan to support such feature in the future.

So, the answer on your question is that you should create a page in Drupal and edit its appearance in Themler.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

ok thanks for clearing that up... So for example, I build out my home page, plug the theme into a drupal install, then I create a NEW basic page drupal content from drupal back end. It will inherit the themler "Page template." So from there with this newly created basic page from in drupal backend, how do I bring it over to themler to alter it? Or this is not possible yet? Anything created in drupal backend either article or basic page simply must keep the themler template look for that respective page, or by handcoding divs and such from in the drupal editor..

Hi,

After you have created the basic page in Drupal, it automatically inherits the Page Template styles. You can style that look in Themler before exporting the content by switching to the Page Template or after adding the page, go back in Themler and use the Refresh Content option in the right corner of the top bar. That will load the current Drupal content into Themler so you will style the live content. But again, note that the dynamic content itself can not be edited, only static content controls can be added in Themler. And once again, when you style this content loaded from your Drupal, it will be applied to all basic pages that do use the Page Template styles, you can not create two different Page Templates in Themler. You can try to achieve it with the manual coding if you want to.

Hella

So basically I can make a great home page without any restrictions and use any/all tools.... And style article and basic pages on a very limited basis considering every article and basic page must have the same layout constructed from their respective themler templates so no individuality for those drupal content types. No work around to use all the great tools in themler to make unique article or basic pages yet. Pretty much at this stage of dev as far as drupal is concerned, the themler tools are applicable to the home page only, and basic styling of article and basic page. If I want to put a google map on the themler post page template, its gonna show up on every drupal article that is created regardless. Drupal is really good, I hope you get the themler features that WP/joomla enjoy up to speed in drupal soon. Because it looks like at this point, I cannot really tap much of the themler power for drupal situations.. I can make a wonderful home page and thats it!

What did I get for the $48 drupal add-on I purchased? Themler is great, but it needs some drupal attention bad.

Hi,

If you need something special on one of the pages you can try doing it using blocks.
In the future we'll support custom templates for Drupal. Though I can't say when.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
Olviia

yes I was thinking about how I might do that.. I have not gotten through all the themler documentation yet, so I was going to explore that idea after I read everything.. In drupal there is a feature under each respective block config to display a given block only on certain pages... So in themler what needs to be done to make it happen I was still thinking about.. It involves drupal region block in themler somehow.. idk yet...

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

In drupal there is a feature under each respective block config to display a given block only on certain pages... So in themler what needs to be done to make it happen I was still thinking about

For example:

  1. add Drupal Region control to the Page template.
  2. save changes
  3. clear Drupal caches if needed (Configuration >> Performance)
  4. add block into the new region and config block assignment to pages, for example:

    • Only the listed pages
    • node/10
  5. This block will appear on the page with path node/10. On the other Basic Pages the region will be empty. By default the height of the empty region is 0. So you will not see the region if it's empty.

Please keep us posted about the progress.

Thank you,
Olivia

thanks, yes I was successful at doing that, but it is essentially limited to what the ck editor can do... How would I implement themler features into a custom block? For example the google maps tool in themler, is there a way to copy/paste the code from themler, then go over to drupal, and paste it in the ck editor for my custom block? I want to be able to implement themler tools in my custom drupal blocks.

Hello

Unfortunately Themler shortcodes are not supported in Drupal themes at this time.
If you need to add google map you can try adding regular map iframe provided by google maps service. Ckeditor has the "Source" option where you can insert html code.

Thank you,
Olivia
