Wow. So you're planning to stop developing themler too? Is this not the same story you told us about artisteer before you switched to Themler? It is like anytime the going gets tough, you just pack and move on to something new instead of finding ways to solve the problem, I was using Artisteer for a long time before you moved on to Themler and though I couldn't convert my existing sites, I was happy to move on to Themler because it introduced some great new stuff.
I have spent about 40mins on the Upages website and I must say Themler is way more powerful than Upage which seems to me like a Page designer and not a theme designer. What we want is a Theme maker and trying to make things too simple will finally make it unusable by lots of people. There is never going to be a time when everyone can create a website because it takes more than knowing how to drag and drop things to create functional website. I am struggling to understand why you'll leave such massive program like Themler for Upage which is like page designer like SP Pagebuilder from Joomshaper.
My Question is, why should I trust that you will not move on to another product in 2 years when you run into problems with Upage? NONE. there is no quarantee what so ever and that is very dissapointing.
You state that "Themler is not easy-to-use, and its performance does not meet the modern customer expectations." how many clients have complained about it not being easy to use? How complex is this. Upon using Upage trial for 1hour, I think you guys got it wrong. Themler is your best product so far.
Lets not kid ourselves thinking we are helping the majority of people to create websites. Unless your companies ultimate goal is to just make money and not care about your clients, then I in my personal opinion think this is a very wrong move. Unless you can promise us we will be able to continue using themler for at least the next 10 years, I think it is wickedness on your part.
I am definitely going back to polish my coding so I don't get stranded in the near future when you finally do abandon us. If you're making a product, make one that satisfies at least your existing customers and don't just throw us off like that. I am both sad and angry and You can tell from my writing.
