Hi Team,

When I add an href to and ID tag on another page, the sticky menu create problems.

Please go here
https://webmistressofbath.com/
and click either of the READ MORE buttons.

You will see the problem, due to the sticky menue...the jump to ID does not work very well as it covers the top of the area I wish to jump too.

Is there a fix for this or do I need to add it to the wishlist?

Thanks

Hi,

That is the standard behavior and not only for the IDs on the other pages. The menu starts on the top from the point where the ID is inserted (where your section starts). The only solution we can suggest now is to add a top padding in the section to move the text below under the sticky header.

Sincerely,
Hella

Thanks for replying and for that option Hella.
Its not going to look good to do that and not possible as I would need to add the padding on the h2 styles.

This means that all h2's will have lots of padding on the top of them and the pages will be very spread out.

I have also tried to fool it on other sites, by adding the ID to a higher point on the page...but this makes no sense for anyone who is editing the website, especially if they are to technical. Also, it takes a lot of time to try and get the tag in the right place.

Can you get the developers to look at this please.
Perhpas there is a way the sticky menu can get a piece of script to make the browser realise the bottom of the sticky menu is now the bottom top of the frame?

It's pretty important for internal links, of which you know, it is best practice to have many.

Thanks for considering this pretty important functional aspect.

Hi,

This is default browse behavior and Themler cannot affect it. Unfortunately It does not include any additional scripts which can change this behaviors some how. I've added your request as a which to our wish list.

The only quick solution I know is use empty (invisible) element with ID and move it up a little. So when the browser scrolls the page it stops at the desired place.
But it requires minimum html and css skills.

Thank you,
Olivia

ok thanks Olivia.
It would be a good one for the wish list so thank for adding.
Pretty important.
Is there a way I can be informed when it happens?

Thanks for the possible solution for now.
I will have to ask my techie for help with that.
Happy day

Hi,

For the new features please follow the news. I'm sure that it will be included in the change log when implemented. But I'm not sure that it will be soon.
