Please make sure the container with menu is not set to Fluid. Try to change the container width or put the menu out the container. This should help.

If the screen resolution is smaller than the width parameter, the container width will be adjusted to the screen width.
The difference between wide and fluid is that with the wide option your content has that maximum width limitationю
