Hyperlink image to a intern joomla page

Hello Themler,
I have a new issue, I have joomla version 3.8.5 and I try to make a hyperlink from a image to a intern content page, and what I do or try, nothing works of happend.
The only what I see is a popup of the image and thats it? what do I wrong?
It should be opening up a page on the site when the image is clicked, but it opens the image itself.
This is caused by a script in the template I think, which overrides the link, and adds a new event to open the image when it is clicked. And the meaning is that the image is clickable to an intern page.....
I hope that you understand what I mean..
