Drupal template page links automatically modified??

When I create links on template pages, the URL gets the theme name appended to the end of the URL. For example: If I want a hyperlink to go to www.google.com, after I save the page and come back to edit the page the URL changes to www.google.com?theme=THEMENAME. See attached image file. Not sure why this happens, but it is causes my links on the page to break. Then I have to go back to the template page and edit ALL of the links I have on the template.

Is there anyway to turn this off?
