I have downloaded the template for Joomla okay.
I would like to create several templates/themes for ongoing use.
What steps do I take to create templates to start with on a new site.
The one provided is a good start but I would like to create some with more features so that the site can be up and running with little or no template modifications

Hi,

As I understand you downloaded blank theme for Joomla. Now you can modify this theme in the way you want to achieve the desired result. You can add more controls from the Insert tab, change their appearance on different templates.

If you have any specific questions please let us know.

Thank you,
Olivia

My main question is when I open Themeler as a standalone app once I modify blank to my own theme, how do I save it so that I can upload it to my new Joomla site?

Hi,

Simply go to the File Menu >> Export as Zip. Then install this theme as a regular joomla theme via joomla admin panel.
Please note that the theme does not include content by default. The content is all joomla modules and menus, articles and everything you added inside green content area. But you can export theme with content (articles and menus).

Thank you,
Olivia

I think I am going crazy, I am trying to organize themes and the interface tells me that templates are at:
C:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\themler_4288827146\joomla\templates

But no such location exists on my hard drive?
How can I clean up the themes I see when opening themler?

John

I tried that but still nothing! (see attach)

Q: why would they be placed in a hidden folder anyway?

Hi,

The provided screenshot demonstrates Themler app directory. /ProgramData folder should be located in the c:/ directly. Just type the path you see in Themler in the Windows explorer address bar.

Thank you,
Olivia
