Adding contact forms

Hi there - could you please tell me how to add a contacts and booking form to the website I'm designing for a restaurant? I know how to use wordpress plugins to do this, but don't know how to incorporate it into my theme.

Hi,

It depends on how the plugin you're going to use adds the form to the website. You can add Widget area control and insert WP widget into this widget area or you can use Shortcode control for plugin shortcodes or you can add shortcode into WP post/page. In most of cases Themler themes works in the same way as any other WP theme.

Hi Olivia - so if I use the same wordpress plug-in that I usually use and add the short code within the theme, it should work - I'll give it a go and come back to you if I have any problems.

Hi,

In case of shortcodes there are two options:

  1. Shortcodes control (Insert tab). If you added it into the blue or orange area this element will be a part of the template. Please note that if this template is used for number of pages the element with form will appear on all these pages.
  2. Insert shortcode into the WP Page\Post content or WP Text widget as usually.

Please keep us posted about the progress.
